This is the last of our series of updates aimed at deploying cars for the various eras of the Mercedes‐AMG Motorsport eRacing Competition. Today's update adds the remaining cars for the future rounds of this outstanding competition: the AMG-Mercedes CLK DTM 2003, the AMG-Mercedes C-Klasse DTM 2005 as well as a competition-only version of the Mercedes-AMG C 63 DTM 2015. You can watch all the races on Mercedes-Benz' YouTube channel : Round 1 : Round 2 : Round 3 : Race will take place this coming Sunday 3rd June ! But it isn't all! We're also bringing some fixes for Direct Drive wheels and other controller types that were reported recently. Check this out: Update details: Client version = 0.3.0.6406 Client BuildID = 2821569 Dedi version = 42.0.665 Dedi BuildID = 2821571 Game: FFB - No longer sends Jolt effects on extreme forces, which caused strong effects being felt when the car was bottoming out. FFB - Fixed various reported issues with Direct Drive wheels FFB - An issue was spotted with the effect creation for Fanatec devices. While this is being investigated on Fanatec side, a workaround has been introduced, solving the ffb loss, framerate and freezes issues reported when resetting FFB or loading multiple game sessions. Input meter - Fixed an issue where the meter would render before a racing session started. Fixed an issue where cockpit gauges would sometimes be showing wrong values when coming back from an instant replay (spotted in the Zakspeed Capri) Content Mid-Ohio - Fixed a cut track detection when driving near the pitlane entrance in the last two turns. Laguna Seca - Fixed wrong pitlane speed limit Sepang - Fixed some minor texture flickering on the back of the pit building
"FFB - No longer sends Jolt effects on extreme forces, which caused strong effects being felt when the car was bottoming out." I have to say thank you because when i make the car bottom out (offtenly when going offroad by an error) there was sometimes that was just better to let the wheel go, it was impossible to fight sometimes
As this development project is finished... Any comments on what the free ressources will be spent now? When When will the DTM cars arrive in the store?
Well we're in full production for WTCR. And we didn't renew the DTM license for now as the series is undergoing changes anyway.
And ... that ranking system that was promised for last year ? Can we still count on that "eventually"? (not soon i would guess) Or are you guys putting all the eggs in the e-sports basket ?
Why can't we buy the new Mercedes cars? Will they not be available? There will obviously not be a class for each car though. Since you're working on WTCR, any word on what cars will be available - are you doing all existing TCR cars? That would be great and add some diversity to all the German brands.
And Ai selector???? Since the preview of Georg Ortner the 29 january, I'm like a Child waiting for christmas.
Ai selector has nothing to do with ai aggression slider. With an ai selector you can choose your ai opponents manually.
Right now, RaceRoom asked us to focus on a leaderboard ranking system first before completing the work we had started on multiplayer based ratings. This means that the current division system in leaderboards will eventually be replaced as each of us will be placed in a division based on our recent performance in competitions.
You cannot buy them yet because they are exclusive to the competition for now. Once the competition is over, we can then put them in store, and each model could be a cup class on its own, with the 18 competition liveries. Regarding WTCR, you can expect all the cars from the real series. I had licensed an extra tcr car as I was sure it would be in, but that car ended up not entering WTCR. So since the license and paperwork are done, expect it to be showing up as a side dish at some point ;-) perfect for VLN races
GTR3 : no update to share and it isn’t our focus at all at Sector3. I only recently started keeping an eye on the tech development to make sure we have everything in place in terms of physics, AI and sounds when time comes to bring RaceRoom to it. What I can maybe share is that we do already have artists busy bringing our RaceRoom cars and tracks to UE4. I also have an investigation going on to upgrade our current RaceRoom engine to a more recent directx version. The idea there is to check if the time and effort required are low enough to make it worthwhile; too long and you might as well wait for UE4; short enough, then it could give us a bit of fresh feel and performance to keep the engine relevant while waiting for UE4.
A preview of an AI selector? I doubt this is what you saw. All our code is ready for it, all we need is a web menu / UI to be done for it, and as previously stated we are busy on leaderboard based ranking on the web side of the team.
Thats how we like it J-F, a year ago i criticised a lot the "soon" word u used. But now, thats a plenty of info we have and we can expect so many good things for raceroom Keep it up!
