I have a problem with my CSL Elite base. Everything was normal when I switched it off yesterday, but when I started it today it feels like it lost its "base resistance". Normally - outside a game - when one turns it in a direction, there is a force to overcome and the spring will bring it back to neutral. Today the wheel just stays there. In Raceroom there is basically no steering resistance (when driving out of the Nürburgring pits you can turn the wheel with the pinky). All other force feedback effects are present. Assetto seems to work fine, PC2 also feels a bit strange. I guess there must be a setting somewhere to enable/adjust the basic force of the base? I uninstalled the drivers, reinstalled the latest beta and updated the firmware. When it started into XBOX mode after the firmware update, it felt normal. When switching to PC mode it was lost again. Any hints? What setting am I missing?
I've had a similar problem with my csw v2.5 but with too much force. I solved it by changing the damper setting in the drivers.
I played with the damper setting now, no change. Interestingly, when I switch it to XBOX mode, it feels normal, so it must be some sort of PC setting. Gamewise Assetto Corsa is just completely normal, so whatever is disabled, they seem to switch it on in their FFB.
