If I am in the pits or after going off the track I get no force feedback at all, I have the stationary force at 100%? I am using an Asetek forte wheelbase.
No experience of that particular wheelbase but stationary force uses the damping function on other wheels. Note that damping isn't used at all whilst driving. If you have an in game damping setting in your wheel software try turning that on or up.
Maybe you need to add Asetek Forte section to steering_wheels.xml? To ensure "supportsDamperEffect" is set to "true". It's here: Steam\steamapps\common\Raceroom Racing Experience\Game\GameData\General\steering_wheels.xml If you need help adding the necessary info, you can ask me.
No, it's not. You need to find deviceID in your control profile .rcs file in Documents\My games\SimBin\RaceRoom Racing Experience\UserData\ControlSet, then create a section for Aseket in steering_wheels.xml and put that deviceID there.
Thanks for your help, but not really sure what you mean … It does not recognise the Wheel base at all, I have to set it up as a keyboard and rename it Asetek!! I seem to remember having similar issues with my Simagic m10.
- Go to this folder: Documents\My games\SimBin\RaceRoom Racing Experience\UserData\ControlSet; - Find the file "Asetek.rcs" (or whatever your profile is named); - Attach this file here on the forum and I'll make you the steering_wheels.xml file.
That should be it. Put it here: Steam\steamapps\common\raceroom racing experience\Game\GameData\General If you start losing FFB each time you go out on track, open this file with Notepad or any other text editor, scroll all the way down to Asetek section that I added, then in the line "alwaysCreateEffects" change "false" to "true".
Thanks very much works perfectly, I will have a look at the file and maybe be able to do it myself in future Why the voncern about losing ffb?
Some wheels, like Moza or Cammus, need "alwaysCreateEffects" as "true" while many others don't. I don't know if Asetek needs it or not. Good to hear my guess was correct.
