I have RaceRoom on Steam and have not been able to get manual, individual gear selection working. I can assign gears (First Gear, Second Gear......, Neutral) to keyboard keys or to a shifter connected via usb on the Key Bindings tab in settings but when I get on a track I can't change gears via those keys. I have assigned them to the number keys 1 - 8. The only way to shift gears has been sequentially via the up/down Key Bindings. What am I missing? Thanks, Steve
in options select h shifting mode (use search tool, if u cant find it) and make sure u use car that has such shifter irl, eg dtm92, gr5
Only some cars ( group 5 for example) can be shifted with manual H shifter. Not all cars. The rest are sequential only.
What about the KTM X-Bow RR. The real car has H-Shift and the animation in the game shows a H-Shifter, but I can only shift sequential. Does the X-bow RR has a manual H-shifter in the game?
Yes, I did and then the sequential shifting does not work anymore (as supposed) an I can not shift at all. So I unmarked the H-shifting again and drove with sequential shifting, wich is annoying since the real car is H-shift.
I use Fanatec Shifter 1.5. the clutch is working but not the shifter. And yes I also switched the Fanatec shifter to manual
This sounds like a problem on your end. If it's working correctly for other h pattern cars there's absolutely no reason for it not to work on the xbow. You definitely have the individual gears mapped in your control profile etc?
I mapped the gears and in the Fanatec control panel I can see the mapping an it shows exakt the gear I select with the shifter. All Fanatec firmware and drivers are up to date. windows 11 drivers are updated. Since I started Simracing only 4 weeks ago, I did not drive other cars with manual Shift yet, so today I tried the Group 5 BMW. Same Problem, no manual shifting. Fanatec Support teils me, the problem is in the game? Does anybody have an Idea? Are there other settings that can affect this problem?

Yeah, that was the problem. I hoped that is was just a simple beginners mistake and it was just that. I did not bind the gears in the gamesettings, only in the Fanatec Control panel. Thank you!
