+1 Love the GT Masters experience (my favorite)!

Any chance of getting the missing 911 (as Ruf) and the Lambo in?

    Cheers, Jan

First of all thank you for constantly creating Experiences and cars but there is one thing that bothers me so much :(
Will you work on the interior on a Mclaren Mp4-12C GT3? Especially LCD which is obviously a placeholder? Otherwise cars look amazing but I have a feeling that few things are placeholders or is it as it is? :)

I can't find the best topic for this, so I will write it here.

I haven't played with the game for a long time now, so today I took a try...and I looooved it!

But, for me the GT3 McLaren felt very strange. I mean, we had a race at the Red Bull Ring, and in some corners the car behaved just like it is sliding on 4 wheels. It's so strange for me, and I don't know the explanation for that (alright, maybe I should do a setup next time...).

Try the McLaren in the GT Masters 2014 class. It has updated physics.
The plan is to update all our content to the latest physic standards, as we are doing now with the GTR2 class for example.

Thank you for the reply Georg. To be honest, I don't own the ADAC GT Masters pack (yet), only the McLaren GT3 - but I think I will buy & give it a try next week. ;)

It seems that the setups of 2013 and 2014 cars are combined... which is bad since the 2014 cars have stiffer springs and are more sensitive.

    Question

I don't own ADAC GT Masters Experience 2014 (maybe one day).

If I purchase only one car (I have 75% off on Z4, R8 and Camaro):

    1) Can I enter ADAC GT Masters 2014 competitions?
    2) Can I enter ADAC GT Masters 2014 leaderboards (I own 6/8 tracks)?

    1) That depends on the competition. Some are free to play. Others require certain content.
    2) You can enter Leaderboards (and online Races!) with the car you own, as long as you have the required track.

there is one point the Competition-Details ...

    Competition Details:
    • Competition begins on 01.02.2015 and ends 28.02.2015.
    • You must own ADAC GT Masters 2014 to compete in this event.
    • ...
That means, that you will need the Experience to enter the Competition. With only one car you will be able to join MP-Races on the R3E MP-Servers and you can create some singleplayer-races.

Thank you very much. I figure it out later, too.

Not sure if this would be the right place to ask, but whatever :p
Can someone tell me how to stop the rear tires on the ADAC GT cars from locking up constantly? I don't get any feedback for it and by the time I hear the power actually cutting out it's too late. I've had a similar problem with the R07 WTCC BMWs and to me that felt it was something to do with how the automatic clutch is handled on the H-pattern car. But these are all sequentials so I am at a loss. Is it a setup issue or is it my pedal work? (I'm guessing the latter)

Are you speaking about the 2013 cars or 2014? The 14 cars are much smoother and more controllable. But I wouldn't say that even the 13 lock up constantly. Some cars are more sensitive than others. Maybe you had a bad car track combination. I prefer to spend some more meters in the braking zone by reducing the brake pressure and setting the bias more to the front and lift the brake when slowing down. Play a bit with the suspension. Brake vibration in FFB and increasing the tyre sound could also help. But all in all I think this is nothing new for you.

I bought the '14 GTs just because of the fact that they had ABS, thinking it would help this. Here's my problem though: I would honestly consider braking my weakness; I tend to set up my passes through different lines, drafting etc. Now, with the touring cars (WTCC, 92 DTM) I don't have this problem and I am very close to the fastest guys online. It's only with the GTs for some reason. I lose around 1/1.5 seconds just because of this. I've tried messing with the bias, it doesn't seem to change much, I mostly use it to help with trailbraking. Braking pressure does kind of help, but then I lose overall braking performance.
Now, setting up the suspension is something I am still learning. I mostly set up the springs, ARBs and dampers with the mindset to make the car to handle the way I want to, meaning under/oversteer, overall traction etc. More of an overall setup that I like/am comfortable with rather than track specific. I don't exactly know what settings would have an effect on braking.

Although GT Masters has ABS in real life in the game it's just available in Amateur Mode but not in Get Real if I didn't miss something. Here in the forum was a thread about setting up your car with some links and there are some further setup guides in the internet. To be honest i don't use them and can't recommend one. Maybe some of the fast guys can share their knowledge. I just do what i described earlier and basically choose a stiffer suspension to have a more stable car. But the suspension still needs to have enough way to travel and rebound so it shouldn't be too hard and low. At the bias I often can feel a big difference even with one click when I am at the edge if the car is still controllable for me or not. I don't change the bias during a lap several times like some do. Complex topic that depends on so much, the car, track, driving style etc. I am not one of the real fast guys so i would leave it to them ;)
The first sentence was nonsense, they have ABS, I just checked it. I was not aware of it

ABS is active in get real mode because every team used it*. It was confirmed by Jay Ekkel in racedepartment thread because somebody complained why is ABS on in get real mode.

*Even it was optional by official rules, every team used it which bring us to conclusion that virtual "pros" want virtual racing to be more harder than in real life (but ABS/ASC/etc is for noobs and similar) just for the sake of the famous fake paradigm "realism = hard".

a lot of lock ups i see are more a mix of braking and downshifting F1style ..... gt3 cars are sensitive to this

That's the thing though. I never downshift that fast. I do try to finish shifting before turning because I use a stick sequential (DFP).
I'll mention this again though: I had a very similar problem with the Race 07 WTCC BMW. Not much feedback except the power cutting (sound) out and that's too late. Doesn't really matter if it's slow or fast downshifting. If I try to release the brake when I think it will happen I just lose braking power and end up overshooting, which is the same thing that would happen if I do lock up. It mostly happens when shifting down to 2nd or 1st (Hockenheim hairpin ex.)
