R3E doesn't feature an anisotropic filtering (AF) option in the video settings menu, which is unusual as it's almost a standard graphical option in most games.

    Any reason for this?

Any benefit from forcing AF in Nvidia/AMD driver software?

I've tried with and without and in both cases the game looks good with no apparent difference in the way textures look.

The anisotropic keyword exists in the game's shaders already (track at least, which is where it really matters), so they probably do make use of it, hence you don't see an apparent difference.

That makes sense. I assumed there was some form of AF going on by default.
