This has been requested many times by many people, please address it as it seems a simple thing to fix coming from a software developer background. @Alex Hodgkinson @J-F Chardon
The motion software can easily see the game is in replay for example, it's within the same memory table, and should not output motion in that case. Also, the data the game outputs is not only used for motion. The motion software should account for this.
I didn't ask to stop all telemetry, but the motion telemetry. With open-source software for Simtools, no one ever updates these plugins, even after asking multiple times. Let's fix the problem at the source, from RRE.
But then you rule out anyone who wants to watch their telemetry output while watching a replay, which could definitely be useful to some people. Taking something away to please the minority that have both motion and more importantly motion with software that isn't updated seem overkill. Map a button to stop your motion rig and press it.
There is no such button in Simtools and ProSimu refuses to fully support Sim Racing Studio for P7MP. How about a small preference setting/option that enables/disables telemetry during replay or after a race? That would make everyone happy and should be easy to implement.
https://www.xsimulator.net/communit...in-for-simtools-v3-0-api-documentation.17019/ The function to have output stopped when game is in pause/replay or any other state is available within the simtools framework. Whomever wrote the plugin for raceroom just needs to implement it.
To reiterate, the game already sends a pause status message to shared memory. Therefore any issue you are having needs to be taken up with the 3rd party software you're using to control your motion hardware.
