Hi everyone! In this thread you will find a small site hosted on Google that I made to store the RaceRoom images in highest resolution available. The link to the site itself: https://sites.google.com/view/stepscollection/index Or just click the banner on top. In this site you will find: All liveries of cars, including the removed ones (1516 files - 1,44 Gb); All pictures of car classes (63 files - 4,5 Mb); All emblems of cars' manufacturers (94 files - 37 Mb); All logos of racing tracks (44 files - 4,6 Mb); All pictures of track layouts (98 files - 8 Mb); All track "signature" images (44 files - 157 Mb). All helmet images from leaderboards (24 files - 700 Kb). To download all small logos, you just need to click on them, for the car images it's a bit different. I had to pack liveries of cars in form of galleries, so you'll have to make a right click and then download the image. You also have the ability to download all files at once, or by separate groups with the download button at the bottom of each page. Also, please let me know, if you find some logo/car livery missing from the site or even a typo. I'll try to add as much pictures as I can find. Any other suggestions are also welcomed. I hope you will find this source useful for your media/event needs. Thanks for your attention.
Updated the manufacturers section with a bigger Cougar logo (1024px). It is now available in the manufacturers section. Spoiler: What does it look like.
Wow that's cool! I would just add the car name (as a label) if you are looking through the pictures of a class. Like here: https://sites.google.com/view/stepscollection/index/cars/gtr-3
Thanks for your feedback. Also thanks to those, who took time to vote. The site has been updated, all the items are now labeled and all links open in new tabs.
This is great resource - thank you - I hope you’re able to keep it going. One thing I find is that if I copy the car image as it loads it’s fine, but if it’s fully loaded the image background is only partly transparent. Hard to describe. I’ll post examples later... EDIT not doing it today - yay - please ignore me.
Added a small bonus, you can access it from the manufacturers section, when pressing on Canhard logo. Now each forum member can have his own Canhard logo. Spoiler: Canhard
This is fantastic, thanks for offering this. But is there any chance you can offer a "download all" option?
Added the ability to download images in bulk. You can either download all at once on the main page or only download all images belonging to one of the 4 categories. The download buttons are always on the bottom of the page. The majority of space is taken by the pictures of cars, there are 1516 liveries, each taking up to 1 Mb of space. Following the Canhard, Cougar now has 23 more logos which you can find on its page. Spoiler: Cougar
Thanks for making this available - it's really wonderful. Here's the problem I was trying to describe the other day... When the downloaded image is opened and then copied and pasted, the transparency is lost and the background becomes blocky white and black. I can open it in 3D Paint and save as BMP and it creates a nice background: But I'd like to keep the transparency. Any tips? Does anyone else have this problem?
This is very strange indeed. Normally you should be able to just make a RMB click, choose "Save as" and it saves the original file in PNG with transparency. You can also open it in another tab and then save, the result is the same. One thing that I noticed, that some parts of the car's shadow are disappearing for me, when I use the standard Win10 "Photos" app to view these PNG files, but they're fine when viewing though browser and other apps. The fact that you're able to view them through Paint 3D tells me the pictures do not get corrupted on your PC, it's just a bug of the application you use to view your photos. Try to open downloaded images with IE, Edge, or simply Firefox, do the white/black boxes appear? For that matter, may I ask, what do you use as an image viewer?
Thanks again for your help. It's working fine now My file association with png was "photo" and this mangled the image slightly as you saw. So I then tried to open it with an image editor. No joy. Then I read your note - d'oh - of course it needs to be opened in a browser. I've associated png with Firefox and the world is safe for democracy and making nice pictures of racing cars. I can copy and paste the image from there and maintain the lovely background transparency which makes the pics look great. Thanks again.
Added three new sections: Track layouts with transparent images of all layouts; Track signature images, some of which are kind of hidden, the full versions of them will come soon are available now; Helmets from leaderboards.
Sorry, it's not gone, it was unavailable due to Google messing up with access settings. I've made it once again accessible, so I hope you will find the logo you need : https://sites.google.com/view/stepscollection/index/manufacturers/cougar Cheers.
Updated the site with the the recent game updates. Car images: BMW M4 GT4; BMW M1 Gr. 4; Porsche Cayman 718; Porsche 911 GT3 R (2019); Porsche GT2 RS Clubsport. Car classes: Porsche GT2 Supersportscar. Track signature images: Ningbo; Zhejiang; Dubai; Bilster Berg. Did I forget anything? Updated and new track logos are coming in the future.
Just downloaded this wonderful collection again - thanks! I couldn't find Porsche 911 GT3 R (2019) anywhere in the pack. Mistake? Hope you are staying well.
The "download all" wasn't updated until this very moment. Now it should be ok. As for 911 GT3 R (2019), you can download all its liveries with the following link: https://drive.google.com/open?id=1E60T7kNACLpEu3KcwkFcNIu0C8v0bPJM
