Hello, I rent a Windowsserver a few month ago and since then I'm running a few Raceroomserver without any problems. But after the update i have a problem! When I'm starting the Raceroom Dedicated Server App everything works fine but when the webbrowser opens i have no menu anymore just a grey page....I deleted all data from the server but that also didnt help out. Please help
You're not alone with problems at the dedicated server. When i go to my own server they crashed before it opens
Hi guys, I also rent a dedicated server. after the patch ,I too had some drama with my server, here's what I did to get it up and running again. Step one : find where the original dedicated software is on your local machine. for me this was c:\program files (86)\steam\steamapps\common\raceroom dedicated server. Delete all files here.leave this explorer window open. Step Two : login to steam and go to the library tab , in the drop down box you will see one called tools, click it, scroll down the list of tools untill you see raceroom dedicated server, right click on it and click delete local content, then right click on it again and click install game. this gets the latest "RRRE_Dedicated.exe" onto your local machine. Step Three : now go to the original folder you left open and the "RRRE_Dedicated.exe" file will be there. Right click and select copy. Step Four : Logon to your dedicated server, I use remote desktop for mine, open explorer on your server and select the hard drive (try find where you originally put "RRRE_Dedicated.exe" file,I had just made a folder in the root so for me it was c:\raceroomserver. If you cant find it, just make a new folder for it) Delete the old file , right click select paste, the new "RRRE_Dedicated.exe" file will then copy onto your dedicated server. Then run the new file and you should be good to go. I still had my faulty server window open and it opened a new one in a new tab, it did remember all my server settings etc. so all I had to do was turn it on. Im not the best pc guy but im no noob either, There maybe an eisier faster way of doing this but basically all I have done here is replace the old file called "RRRE_Dedicated.exe" for the new one, so wherever you run your dedicated server from is where the new file needs to go. I hope I have helped you out peeps.
I did this and it works for 50 % I had 3 dedicated servers for the update 2 of them i can join and one crashes. When i deleted this and i rename one of the 2 who workd ok with the rules of the one who crashed then the renamed room crashed again. Strange but its thrue.
