Isn't this exactly what RaceRoom/S3 are moving toward? I appreciate the enthusiasm of the Sim racing community and all the work and organisation that goes into these portals, my worry is that it just dislocates an already fragmented community, choice in a Sim separates many racers to start with, some like RWD only, some FWD, others prefer historic events, then throw in what people actually own content wise then (as multiplayer shows) this relays to thin pickings when it comes to finding your prefered combination, divide this up even more by the number of these portals springing up (everyone will have a favourite, just as they do with cars,tracks............) it could end up doing more harm than good. I just personally hope that all Sim developers will do a good job on incorporating their own esport portals (it's where Sim racing's heading) so there will be no need to have third party (nothing but respect chaps) portals because the Sims own is too damned good, here's hoping!
