Hi, i´m using a Elgato Stream Deck as a button Box for nearly a year now. It works perfectly but one thing I don't understand, and can't find any help around the internet. I have a button for sending quick chat texts like "Have fun" "Sorry" etc. This button works well in iRacing and any Text Window, but in Raceroom it does not. And I´m asking myself WHY? So the first way I´ve tried was as you can see in the pic below: 1. define a hotkey: C to open the chat 2. Enter a Text "Have Fun" and press ENTER Part 1 works without problems, but then there will be no text entered. Only the chat stays open. Trying the same thing with Crew Chief with the "chat, say sorry" macro works perfectly. Crew Chief opens the chat and types "Sorry, my fault" and hits ENTER The Macro for this is "{FREE_TEXT}sorry, my bad" But Free_Text is nothing that works with Stream Deck So after hours of thinking and trying with different Macros I found a solution that works, but is not good, because its much more work and also capital letters or special characters like a ? don't work all the time because of the delay, so sometime when you want to write "Have Fun!!!" it types "have Fun111" You have to make every letter as a Hotkey in the Stream Deck, and then it works. Can someone help me with this? Hope someone can help me with this to find a easier solution.
I have it working for in game chat. I can't remember exactly how i set it up. I will check later and get back to you.
Oh actually I'm just doing it how you have it in the end, using multi action and system hotkey. Works fine for me. I only use a few actions like. Good race, sorry, pass left, pass right etc.
I am using multiaction too, but it doesn't work very consistently. Sometimes it works ok, but few times it happened to me that for some reason it opened some console window and I couldn't figure out how to close it, so I mostly just avoid the button in a race now:-D.
