Hi, i upgraded from the GTX 670 to the RX 480. with all the same settings i have only 45-50 FPS. With the 670 i reached the 60. I5-4750S and 8 GB Ram. No enegerysafe options. And the usage of the GPU and CPU are far away from 100% Any Ideas?
You have the latest AMD Crimson-Driver installed? http://support.amd.com/en-us/download/desktop?os=Windows+10+-+64 I'm using following settings in the Crimson-Driver with my R9 280X: Anti-aliasing Mode: Enhance Application Settings Anti-aliasing Method: Multisampling Morphological Filtering: On Anisotropic Filtering Mode: Use Application Settings Texture Filtering Quality: High Surface Format Optimization: On Wait for Vertical Refresh: Off OpenGL Triple Buffering: Off Shader Cache: AMD Optimized Tessellation Mode: AMD Optimized Frame Rate Target Control: 60FPS (I use this instead of VSync) Disable VSync in Raceroom, too.
100% for GPU is quite normal but not for the CPU. The game runs fine on my side but I needed some minor tweaking to reach a constant 60 fps everywhere on the track except stands and cockpit hands animation. I've a RX 480 and a poor CPU. My settings : vsync off (recommanded to reduce input lag). Everything high Particule detail: medium Car reflection quality: low (high is ugly anyway) Contact shadows: 32 multi-sampling : 8xAA motion blur: complex Visible cars: 36 Opponent Cockpits: off AMD driver : 16.6.2 I know your issue is more problematic than that, it's only for information.
may want to delete the "C:\Users\<USERNAME>\Documents\My Games\SimBin\RaceRoom Racing Experience\UserData\ShaderCache.bin" file not sure how r3e handles its shader cache, but maybe the file still contains the shaders originally meant for your previous nvidia hardware, which is now really sad.
thank you all for the help! Yeah, i delete everything. any other game works perfect! Thank you for the tips, but nothing worked.... I reinstalled it right now...maybe it will help.... Edit: It helped! FPS Boost after reinstall! xD Thanks everyone!
