my screen is really old so its set up for a 1280x768 res, basically the game launches with a higher resolution and I can't find a way to change it, I already tried with the steam launch options and it doesn't work

    PC specs:
    Processor: AMD FX 6350 3.9GHz
Video card: Nvidia GTX 960 4GB
    RAM: 16GB

hm, normally it should start in 1024x768 and in Windowed mode... if not, search for the userdate-Folder for the game.

    It's located in ...\Documents\My Games\SimBin\RaceRoom Racing Experience\UserData

There you might find the graphics_options.xml. Simply delete that file.

alternatively you can edit the file. In the 3rd and 4th row you find the settings for the resolution.

Set the one i marked to the value 2, that should set it in borderless window mode.
0 is windowed, 1 is fullscreen.

If you guys are wondering, this is what it looks like in the event version of the game, so you don't have to guess again which value represents which setting.
