How on earth do I set up VR with Oculus?

    I've spent multiple days searching around, trying to figure out how to set up my Oculus Quest VR set with Steam, and the lack of information is shocking.

    I've set up Steam VR, and that's about where the information stops. Not a single tutorial or video on YouTube seems to match what I have.

    How can I go about this?

    Oculus Quest 1
    Connected via USB (windows makes the "connected device" sound when I plug it in)
    Steam VR installed
    GTX 1060

    I don't have a quest but a Google search came up with numerous results titled "how to play Steam VR games on your Oculus Quest". Are you sure that not a single one of those articles contains any useful information?

    I think you need to run Oculus Home at the same time. Also you have to enable Link mode in the Quest settings.

    You have to install Oculus Software on your computer for your headset...

    Run Oculus home turn on the headset and connect it to your pc and you can then set up the headset as a recognized device this will allow you to link to the steam vr app and play your steam games.
