Hello everyone, If I start the session leaderboard challenge in the game and then leave this session to change something in the settings (gameplay, FFB, etc.), the following happens: if I then start the leaderboard challenge again in game, then the eight dots in the bottom left of the screen run in a continuous loop, that means the challenge doesn't start. I then have to "kill" the game using the Widows task manager because otherwise it cannot be ended, as I said, the eight points then run in a continuous loop. In my case it sounds like I have a problem saving the settings. Does anyone else have this happen and is there a solution? Thank you in advance
I've been battling with the game hanging for over a year, if I go into settings and change something, or change car or track, then good chance it will hang. If I don't change anything, same setting, car and track, then it loads with no problem...go figure!
Kinda sounds to me like an issue connecting/communicating to the server - does it eventually time out,or have you become too impatient to wait and see? I always ask the question about the form of connection - are you running a wifi connection or are you hard wired to your router......? Wifi can throw up connection issues and isn't as constant in data rate/flow (guessing outside interference etc) I used to run wifi and found it very hit 'n miss - changed to hardwire and its been way more reliable and stable (still the odd issue now and then) Chris
Hi, I am connected to my router via LAN cable. Well, impatient...I dunno. If the endless loop lasts more than three minutes and nothing happens, then of course my patience has run out, I just think it's taking far too long then.
this sounds like one of a couple of things steam bugged the download .... I've had this before you have a hd ; that has a bad sector or alike id check for bad sectors and then its probably quicker to just redownload everything as the steam thing can drag on for days and days Andi
Well at least that rules out a data transfer issue from your end.... What about other apps running in the background (virus scanners etc)? They can steal resources and slow/hold things up.... I can imagine your frustration with this issue.... Chris
The only virus scanner I have is the internal one from Windows itself, always and forever. RaceRoom is also cleanly shared in the Windows network share. In other games (Assetto Corsa, Project Cars, Rfactor2) I don't have these delays.
honestly just reinstal it ; as if its not your disc then its a bugged update from steam and it may take a week before it sorts it out Andi
