I am contemplating setting up a regular drop in race, I assume I can use my laptop to run a dedicated server that is separate to my racing PC. What sort of internet speed do I need to ensure good performance for both the dedi and my own racing PC at the same time? Currently I have 16mb down and 1mb up, I am looking to upgrade this soon though. Also is it best to connect the dedicated server via Ethernet or is WiFi accepable?
Regarding that one - a conncetion via Ethernat should be prefered. My experience with WiFi was, that lags came earlier. AFAIK it started with lags when more than 12 players were connected on the server. For sure it depends on the Signal-Quality but especially on 2,4Ghz WiFi there are many sources that uses the same frequency and can cause some drops in the Ping and Transferrate.
