Question Race by Laps?

Hey guys,

i am new to the forums but a simracer since GTR, i bought all of the Simbin products incls. 90€ R³E Stuff. I have like 2 questions to the game.

1. Is it possible to race by laps? (recreate 26L Suzuka-East WTCC for example)
2. Is it possible to race in a 2 race format like in the WTCC? (wtcc pack 13 is out for a long time, but i don't find the rules belonging to it.)

You could just run 10laps and then calculate how many time is needed for 26 laps

Eg. Lap takes 1min => 26 x 60 = 1560sec = 26min..
Just a temporary workaround i presume..

 

I thought so too, but i think there are just 15/30min etc. presets? So i have to choose 30....

 

Hmmm, u should be able to choose exactly the amount of minutes u want.. Unless this has been temporarly disabled through the hotfix..

Thought u were meaning in dedicated servers.. There it is possible..
In singleplayer you only have those you see in the above picture i'm afraid..

 

I think so too, where can i make suggestions? i'd like that beeing added into the singleplayer

 

Race distance by laps is such a basic and essential setting that I'm amazed (and disappointed) it's still not in the game.

Couldn't agree more.

It would be nice to add a distance option also, Iike 60KM, 100KM, 200KM, or a slider and then the number of laps are calculated. Or a percentage of the real length, ie. 50% WTCC is 30KM.

WTCC race is 60KM
DTM 2014 race is 170KM
ADAC and DTM 2015 use time.

 

Now that would be a nice little feature being able to put it in a scale of 10km/ bout 6 and some miles i think
