There is some trouble about Frikadelli's participation in VLN Championship an VLN 24 h race because of BoP of their new Porsche 991 GT3 R. Maybe they use their old 997. More you can reader here and here (German).
Very strange decision - the new Porsche doesn't look very fast and hasn't won any VLN-Race before but I don't have any insights what leads to the new BoP. Olaf Manthey's thoughts about that would be interesting. Klaus Abbelen sometimes tendt to overreact a little...
Must have missed this news last week... http://www.touringcartimes.com/2016...irm-a-switch-to-tcr-for-2017-or-2018-in-june/ http://www.touringcartimes.com/2016/05/03/volvo-could-leave-the-stcc-if-they-adopt-tcr/ Interesting times ahead for the STCC. I can understand why they want to make this switch. They have to do what it takes to make the series more sustainable.
hehe, yeah - that are my concerns at the moment. I'm not sure if the BMW is that good or the others just didn't show their hole potential to avoid a change in BoP.
Big congrats to Max Verstappen winning his 1st race in F1 today, and to the Mercedes team for giving me a laugh..
Und wennst denkst schlimmer geht's nicht mehr, kommt irgendwo ein Holländer her. Congratulations Max Verstappen.
Kudos to Max.I wasn't so high on him, mainly due to his age, but after keeping 2 World Champions at bay for nearly the whole race, I have no choice but to give a thumbs up.P.S.In case you were wondering, if I was Kvyat, I would have called Putin and ask him to lay the smackdown on Horner s and Marko s houses...
And now, everything is back to normal. Frikkadelli hast confirmed that they will participate in the 24h-Race with their new 991 GT3 R. Officially because the BoP was modified again - but Abbelen has never withdrawn their car from the entrylist. http://sportscar-info.de/2016/05/19...ng-bestaetigt-teilnahme-am-24-stunden-rennen/ (German)
