Hello, now it's available free telemetry data writer to well known ldx(motec) file format. You can open it with profesional tools like motec i2 pro (standard version will open it but license not allow to open file generated outside of motec licensed tools). https://owncloud.sttb.pl/index.php/s/tp5Qj26P2Aqpkde/download/SlipSteer.msi Just need to click start on it, and it will generate ldx file, after event finish or pit stop. RMB on window to show context menu with "Settings" and "Close" options. If you want to have panel on top of R3E run R3E in "window" or "borderles window" mode. v0.2.1 (2023.07.10) - changes: WARNING THIS VERSION CAN'T BE INSTALLED ON "PROGRAM FILES" DIRECTORY (During update from previous versions this will be default directory. Exciting news. Does it work something like in iRacing where you just run your laps and then afterwards convert iRacings telemetry output file to the MoteC ldx format? Question: Does Raceroom normally/mandatory output a telemetry file that can be converted?
No, Raceroom doesn't save telemetry, just show current data that needs to be readed, prepared and saved
So if I understand you right then your app does "record" the live output (what you call "current data") from Raceroom while driving on track - and then convert this and save it as a ldx file. OK?
New version is available, should semi-auto update. Please let me know if some issue occur. Noticed about 50 downloads of first version so i'm happy that is useful.
My favourite error msg :/ So answer is : it's working on my pc Now seriously, can't reproduce this error so you need to help me. 1. it was tested only on windows 10 if you have something else tell me 2. was any problems during installation? 3. do you have installed net framework 4.5? (should be called during installer if it's not installed, but i didn't verified it) 4. try to install older version (which has many downloads and no one complained about this error): https://owncloud.sttb.pl/index.php/s/YPSeF5i4CBkycqf/download/SlipSteer_v0.1.3.msi 5. download and run debug version: https://owncloud.sttb.pl/index.php/s/qGkF6sEsTzCze8Y/download maybe it will tell something more. If this doesn't show where problem is, i will have to go deep into code and prepare some test version.
8.1 0 problems during installation, just can't launch it I have it older version is the same debug tells me that it "could not find a part of the path" to the r3e-data.json and the location that is mentioned on this error is wrong because I have game installed on other disk than it saying so I need probably change it somehow to correct path and it should work then but idk how
Fixed, current version look for this file in other drives, if doesn't find it, will open settings where you may change it manually.
Win 10 still doesn't work. The app installs fine, but after launching the SlipSteer.exe file, nothing happens.
After long, break big update is online New look, progress bar during saving, fiexed bugs with file spam, and app freezing. Update require directory change, because "program files" are secured for saving files. Currently .NET7 is required. All this inconvenience are worth because this version is much better
Thx a lot for your fantastic app! Works fine for me, I like Motec so much and now I can use it with RaceRoom.
