If a game like Rfactor 2 can have them I dont see why this game cant. It can promote more people to play longer to obtain these goals. I have posted this before, figured I would repost it. The game has trading cards for steam just seems like it should have achievements by now.
It all comes down to the development priority list - in a perfect world every feature appealing to every gamer would be included in every game. For an arcade game I assume achievements are a high priority, for a gaming "sim" (racing, flight, etc.) my guess is achievements are further down the list. If it came down to further VR, triple-screen, or multi-class racing improvements/functionality vs. achievements I wonder what a feature request poll would indicate. I think the "average" sim type gamer plays for the same challenges of the IRL sport, not virtual game trinkets. Just a discussion, I don't make or have a say in what the majority would like to see in their game. I personally don't think about achievements until reminded and don't see their value, but then again I'm a long-time sim racer that started before achievements (or Steam).
Yepp, I would love to see'em come. I keep pestering Reiza about it because AMS is advertised as having them. I wouldn't hold my breath waiting for them in Raceroom but you never know. I'm pretty sure from a business standpoint the work it would require would be worth it in terms of marketability on Steam.
Only achievement I would like is to beat damn alien drivers online just once As for Steam not something I personaly bother chasing but to each their own good luck with your request
It's true: they aren't necessary, but nowdays almost every games have achievements, so it would be nice to have them also in R3E...
