After messing with this off and on all day I have come up with a few things. My first mistake was I had to turn off both Windows firewalls in Public and private, as well as the one in the router. I had it working for a short while. Then for whatever reason TCP is close and I can not get it to open back up. I used this tool to help me troubleshoot. http://www.ipfingerprints.com/portscan.php Now I am going to call my ISP and see why TCP is closed and if I can get it opened. I am going to assume I have set it up properly. I have new screenies I will add to this post shortly.
I got the server to work. But my TCP still filters at random. These settings are for the Arris/Motorola SBG6580 I am sure turning the firewall off is not safe, but until I get the hang of this I had to to rule out any issues. I am still having a tcp issue. I never did get in touch with my ISP. I did a master reset and started over. I thought my issue was fixed, but I am certain my main issue here is the router. Make sure you reboot the modem and your pc for changes to take effect. Doesn't seem necessary, but this was how I ensured consistent results. Most importantly use this tool to help sort out the ports before attempting to start server. http://www.ipfingerprints.com/portscan.php
