I end up racing these a lot since the races are full. A few questions on the silloutte class....

    1. Are they sequential shift or h pattern in real life?

    2. What real life series is this based on?

    3. Any more info you have would be great. I used to dislike these heavily but have grown to enjoy them.

    1. There is no real life version of these cars. They are pure fantasy. But they are clearly Seq, and I believe through paddles behind the wheel, don't think we modeled a stick in there, might be remembering wrong. Been a while ;-)

    2. Originally when the game went out, those cars were DTM-wannabe's. They had insane speed and grip. Too much for what the car looks like it could possibly handle / deliver. It was one of the first physics overhaul we made, a little more than a year ago. We made them "make sense" and the idea was to make them more like the belgian touring car series from 2010-2011: http://www.touringcartimes.com/2011/04/08/preview-belgian-touring-car-series-2011/

I've been watching some of these races IRL. Close racing, lot of battling.
There are still some of these cars present on track days.
They ran only two seasons, the third did not go through because of a dispute between two organisers. A shame really, because it was a very nice format.

The post above has literally just said they're fictional and then you go and say you've been watching them in real life?!

Yes, obviously. Never watched fictional races IRL.
I thought that would be clear for everyone...not...

I always thought (imagined) they were a kind of "DTM 2", like the Dunlop series in the V8 Supercars.
But, yes, seem a super turismes...
