Since I've started to play RRE some things have come to my attention: 1. When breaking I push myself away from the wheel and pedals, not a good thing. 2. I tend to sit for longer periods than usual which, to put it bluntly, makes my butt hurt like hell! That and after awhile I fall into a kind of slouching position which doesn't make anything better. So checking around I found the Playseat Challenge which seem awesome in many ways, foldable and easily moved when I need the computer for other things. Easy to change position to a more leaning and then back.. and more things things thats seem nice. Anyone have this seat and can tell what they think of it?
I am also using it with a T500 RS and I am 1,76 m. Can absolutely recommend it. It is extremely comfortable. You also have kind of a butt kicker.
I'm looking forward to the end of month when I will order it. Got the Logitech G920 just a week ago for a really good price. Truly looking forward driving in comfort when I want and just move everything aside when not Your answers are greatly appreciated!
I can tell you, having had the same issues you mention, going to an actual sim racing seat with fixed wheel and pedals is the biggest immersion booster I've had so far for my rig....it really makes a big difference, sitting lower, no moving seat or pedals, monitor(s) in right spot, etc.
I got the seat today and the difference from my old chair which I had to tie (literally!) to the desk is just WOW! The easy setup and configuration to a lean a bit back, easy folding, wheel and pedals more or less at perfect distance.... I am in heaven! Thank you for your previous inputs, it's what made me buy it and after an hour driving the McLaren without any pain or discomfort... I'm speechless tbh
Pedals lie on metal bars(?) which can be adjusted to preferred length, then there's a velcro strap holding it in place. Works nice with my Logitech G920 set.
so they're not really fixed? are there any drill holes in case i would want to do properly fix pedals in place?
Take care, if you're planning to buy a Fanatec CSL Wheelbase, it doesn't fit at all... The support bar under the wheel plate prevent a fixing with screw, and there's no place to drill...so, you have to fix the wheelbase with the clamp system furnished with it, wich results in a driving position which isn't good AT ALL !!!
