Whoop, whoop, servers down for maintenance, so, from today onwards, big brother will be watching? Now, just the obligatory few hours of anticipation, coffee drinking, dog kicking, torture, oh what fun it is to be a Sim racer!
One advantage of being in the same timezone as S3. I'm usually at work when they shut down the servers.
guys, Crew Chief *will not* work properly with this update until I publish my update. It'll do weird things and gobble loads of CPU cycles. In testing, the entire world was *destroyed*. Expect a Crew Chief update this evening to put out all these fires
So that's why my phone just updated Dashmeter Pro for GTRx. Edit: Cmon Jim, don't program harder just update faster. You can beat this update.
Rodent - I've been ready for *ages*, it's the RF2 testing that's holding stuff up. I'd be happy to release a smouldering pile of untested and catastrophically broken crap, but Vytautas is (for some unfathomable reason) wanting to actually "test" stuff. I'm not sure what manner of a thing this "testing" is, but I don't like it
Hah, now I almost feel guilty for going on about rF2 support. And don't worry about CC blowing up in a fantastical cascade failure, that's pretty much every race for me anyway!
took awhile after last update. had to email a bunch of people like fanaleds etc. took the time to catch up. pita
they havent changed the Api , they have change how certain things are measured , so crew chief tells you your tyres have gone to shit after 3laps Andi
Oh, so they changed that weird way of showing tire wear? Right now 93-95% meant that it's time to change them.
nah, the API has changed as well. If the client software is properly written this change will be non-breaking - the API tell the client software where to find the driver data array in the shared memory file. For poorly written software, created by incompetent but very sexy developers, this location will be hard-coded and will require an update otherwise the driver data will be read from the wrong place. Because of my immense attractiveness I will have to update Crew Chief. I never thought about doing the memory translator - I'll have a quick look [edit] - tyre wear does indeed go from 1 (fresh) down to 0 (fcked) in the new code
