As many people seem to experience issues with Windows 10, particularly the automatic updates, I thought it might be a good idea to create a collection of tools that enhance the usability of Windows 10.

    So I'll start with Win10Privacy: http://www.winprivacy.de/english-home/
It's a neat little toolbox that allows you to:
    • protect yourself from unwanted privacy intrusion,
    • disable/uninstall unwanted Windows Apps and functions,
    • disable automatic updates, manually select and perform updates instead. (Scroll down here: http://www.winprivacy.de/deutsch-start/anleitung/ for an explanation of how the update function in Win10Privacy works.)

I'm not the creator of this tool but if you like it, consider making a donation.
As always, use at your own risk, I won't take any liability if things don't work the way they should.

Feel free to add other tools that you think offer an enhanced Windows 10 experience.

    Cheers

Gpedit. Built in, pretty much gives absolute control over everything.
Start menu, run, type in gpedit.msc, thousands of controls with a little description of what each one does.
May not be available in the home version.

I made it easier than to install a program to control a program... :p
I just simply turned of the all the program in windows handling the updates so it is inert and turn in back on when I have the time to do updates if I think it is needed... I do not like fixing when nothing is broken...
So in short I refused the Win10 to have any connection with MS servers unless I decide to allow it. :D
User control at its best and I have no problem with Win 10 what so ever it is running smooth and perfect :p
