The DTM's are released after the end of the season. So if it is in the works, (and I'd be surprised if it wasn't) it wont be until the end of the year.
Actually not that bad, I love DTM, driving it leaguewise since last year but on the other hand all previous carsets I bought are rotting in my virtual garage, means I rarely touch them at all anymore, so it's just a waste of resources in terms of that "every season/ year/month/week I need something new to be happy" (German: Zewa wisch und weg-) mentality, wich is actually an illusion cause after three days to a week the "new and shiny" factor is gone already...which also is the case with all new fancy (hightech) stuff from the bargain bin of the world market (to "calm it down", that poor lad )
Not to play devil's advocate but with all the delays, features/content I personally regret the absence of and now this statement... I get a bad feeling deep inside. I hope you guys prove me wrong but it might be time to look for a "backup" as long as the steam sale is still on. Yes, so far I still only race R3E and I like it a lot! But looking out the window it gets increasingly harder to not go out and play with the other kids. Just my very personal 2 cent
Either the online ranking stuff is really good or r3e will be in big trouble. PC2 looks amazing and Assetto is growing a lot. Also R3E has very limited tire and track model. Even PC2 has a more advanced track and tire model .... Thats how alarming this all is. Either that or sector 3 has already pooped on r3e and is going full force on gtr3. Who knows. Hope i'm wrong cause r3e is the sim that i have invested more money in =/
Really? Why worry? I'm pretty glad tbh. Nothing against the DTM per se, but by now we have four seasons of what's basically the same cars. So as long as their lineup doesn't change drastically, I won't miss them an aweful lot. Plus that means there will be free resources for working on other stuff.
Why worry - well, no ADAC GT Masters 2017, no DTM 2017 and WTCC in its current form will cease to exist after this season. Those were three of the four licences Raceroom had featuring real skins and drivers and rules. Not much left at least in this regard. GT3 cars postponed, no sign of life of the BMW 235i. You are right, why worry - all lights are green.
Well, there's been several hints dropped that there are some unannounced cars (classes?) coming. And for example the 235i is reportedly quite close to release.
Where did you read about the status of the BMW? Here there was no talk of it for a long time. GT4 has been hinted, but nothing about which cars shall supplement the KTM. That's pretty much it, beside maybe a very thin hint about STCC (which I would assume might replace WTCC in the future).
@Don Rudi I've found one of the best sources of R3E related "gossip" is watching @Georg Ortner's streams as he tends to drop various hints and notes regarding what's going on in the background fairly often As a bonus, they usually include great racing and are quite entertaining
That's where I got the GT4 hint from Here, the only valuable info one gets is that "nobody owes us any information" - right Christian?
