Hi Guys, Before I throw my money on a brand new computer, I shall ask your opinion regarding the computer system and the graphics cards. Smooth performance is preferable without spending more than $2400 AU. The main purpose is to run Raceroom and ACC on a 3 monitor setup at 144hz(using display ports) + 1 x small dash display (using HDMI). Already have 3 x Asus ROG Strix XG27VQ 27" Gaming monitors 144hz. Your support is greatly appreciated.
Are you already running them as triples on your current system?? I can't see you getting adequate frame rates with anything less than two 1080ti cards with plenty of vram on board. Those alone would blow most of your budget.
How about this: CPU Intel Core i5 9600K 3.7GHz Gigabyte Motherboard Memory16 GB OS Drive Samsung 1TB SSD OS Drive Graphics Card Evga GTX1070 8GB Graphics Operating System Microsoft Windows 10 Home
No chance. Not at that resolution. It would run triple 1080 quite nicely with gsync or capped frame rate. Three 1440p monitors is a massive amount of pixels, it's doable if you have money. Lots of money.
A 2080Ti could do the job with some details reduced. But a 1070 don't stand a chance. Personally I would pick an i7 9700K.
Apoligies, an earlier post said 1440p.... A 1070 would run them, but not at anywhere near the 144hz of your monitors and certainly not at max graphics. Ideally you want to budget for a 1080ti with as much ram as possible. If this computer is going to last a few years you really do have to spend as much as you can now. Can you re-use parts of your current build, case, pay, storage drives etc to fee up more funds?
Fair enough. I'd say if you can spec up the build to a 1080ti then you're good. The i5 should be fine and you can overclock to gain a bit more performance also. Obviously faster is always better but it's not always within budget.
My current build runs at 120+ fps at most times. I do not run motion blur and reduce some of the non-essential (to me) effects like look to apex, lock the horizon. I run multi-class and full fields in most cases for 1+ hour races and have not been disappointed. I was running a ASUS GTX 970 which did a nice job as well, but with the recent upgrade it is even better.
