@J-F Chardon Josh Villers replied: We are working on getting support back since the latest updates for RaceRoom. We will release an update as soon as possible.
The new HUD app, for me, also eats my CPU performance (i5 6700k) and reduces fps by 35-50. I had it suggested that those with hyper threading might not suffer as much. Thankfully its 'just' an app and not essential for us to enjoy R3E, but it certainly is nice to see all the data and its the only option of seeing the new tyre temps.
right click on the game in your steam library list and go to properties, then set launch options, copy and paste that launch parameter in there, launch the dash.exe then the game and bingo
You can also see those on the in car display. I dont know for how many cars tho but its certainly worth flickiing through the pages once. Only problem with that is that you only see the temperature and have to guess whether its in the window or too high/low
No news about Fanatec SDK updates? Two buttons on my Mclaren rim dont work after latest fanatec drivers.
I thought it was just me for me it's the up toggle on both the left and right toggle switches that won't map
Yeah I’m taking about the two toggle switches; one on the left and one on the right. I used to be able to map them. I had one mapped for brake bias up and down and the other was traction control up and down. I can map the down position but not the up
S3 thanks and congrats for your great work. what was the bop specifics in the 3 classes and will the leaderboards reset?
So for to use the new HUD-Must i open the dash.exe eyerytime when i play the Sim or only once and then it is implemented?Where should i put the dash folder-to the game folder?
Yes, you must run dash.exe before you launch RaceRoom on every occasion. And you can place the dash folder in any location you want, it will find the R3E process automatically.
Damned... i thougth of that. I hope they will find a way to start the dash when the game is startrd with steam together.Like Assetto Corsa. This solution is a bit meh... Nervy
Well, I think it's quite possible to create a batch file which starts both programs in one go. Maybe I'll do it later.
This version of Sim Commander 4 includes experimental support for the new Race Room Race Experience shared memory API. Please let us know if you have any issues. https://simxperience.com/DesktopModules/YetAnotherForumDotNet/resource.ashx?a=1623&b=1 Did a quick test and it worked.
As for the performance lag(new HUD), I also was a bit worried when reading about , but also no issues at all here and I surely don't have a high-end machine....really weird.
Also no lag or fps drops for me - love the new hud. Color of the speed (light grey) is a bit hard to read in VR
