THIS IS NO LONGER THE LATEST VERSION Go here: https://forum.sector3studios.com/index.php?threads/raceroom-car-lookup-list-june-2019.13259/ Here's my latest lookup list for R3E cars. Updated 6/6/19 from my phone - I'm on the road - I'll put up a nicer looking table on Saturday... (its displaying a bit small but if you click on it it's ok) Physics: Old: prior to mid-2015 "floaty". Still loved by many though, especially DTM 92. New: mid-2015 to mid-2017. Improved - not floaty. Newest: the latest physics (since mid-2017) from Alex Hodgkinson ** Physics marked with two stars - Alex has advised that these car sets are currently being updated (as at 26/4/19) ABS: whether or not the cars in class have factory ABS - note that ABS can still be turned on/off as desired for all cars (multiplayer restrictions may apply and penalties apply for using 'artificial' ABS on cars without factory ABS). TC: whether or not the cars in class have factory traction control - note that traction control can still be turned on/off as desired for all cars (multiplayer restrictions may apply and penalties apply for using 'artificial' TC on cars without factory TC). TP: whether or not the cars in class have adjustable tyre pressures. NOTE: a number of other cars currently appear to have adjustable tyre pressures but Alex has advised that changes to these make no difference. The cars shown here DO have adjustable pressures as listed in the development notes. Thanks Alex! PI: a value that defines the performance of every car class. Some Classes that fall under the same Balance of Performance (BOP) share the same Performance index. That means these classes will be grouped together on the grid and listed as one class in the results. ID: ID for these cars in game Blank means I didn't have the information. Thanks to @Georg Ortner and @OtterNas3 for posting information on PI and IDs. Any errors in translation are mine. Let me know of any errors/ omissions and I will fix.
The following classes have adjustable tire pressure too: Audi TT Sports Cup 2015 Audi TT Sports Cup 2016 DTM 1992 Formula RaceRoom 2 Formula RaceRoom 3 P1 P2 BMW M1 Procar Silhouette Series Tatuus Formula 4 Touring Classics WTCC 2013 WTCC 2014 WTCC 2015 WTCC 2016 WTCC 2017
Would it be suitable to take into account the so-called "hidden skins" when compiling these lists, I think it would help the developers when selecting which cars get which physics model.
Goodness - completely missed those in the update notes - or have those sneaky developers been adding improvements without telling us?? I also just found that the FR X-17 has adjustable pressures as well - so LOTS more than I thought. I might attempt a complete audit on the weekend... EDIT: I'm saved from that task - see Alex's post below. Thanks for the heads up!
As time passes the Newest category is splintering into Old Newest, New Newest and Even Newer Newest etc I'd try to keep tabs on all that but therein lies obsession and madness (and a lot of arguments I suspect). I think its best to say there have been three distinct eras of physics development (Old, New and Newest) and that further updates and tweaks may happen from time to time within 'Newest'.
None of these should have adjustable tyre pressures and infact changing the values in the garage for some them has no effect at all. They will be made not adjustable in the near future, until a properly updated tyre can be implemented.
Great - thanks Alex for letting us know. For my list I'll just stick with the cars listed in the development updates.
@ Skidmark Thank you. PI particularly useful for setting up multi class races. B.T.W, Factory Settings: DTM 1995: ABS - Yes TC - Yes DTM 2003: ABS - No TC - No DTM 2005: ABS - No TC - No
thanks for this table, I was just thinking about trying to find this today... Is there any forecast as to which cars are getting updated next etc?
I think it’s fair to say that the handful of cars with adjustable tyre pressures are on the ‘New Newest’ physics! So... the GT3s as you said are not on the very latest physics...
Well yeah thats obvious but i wouldve thought (actually still kinda do ) that theyre not on the same physics as say wtcr, gt1,2 and 4, the newly released 934, 964, the group c's and so on. If all of those happen to have tire pressures by now just pretend were having this conversation two months ago to get what i mean
Thank you for the list! I am wondering if also the information about default cold tyres or default tyre warmers is useful. I haven´t figured out yet if there is any general rule behind it, but maybe it could make a difference in mixed classes fields.
