Getting a bit ahead of myself here, but it's worth preventing AI adaptation files the app generates being fed back into the app. otherwise the app will appear to have lots of data but actually it's just taking to itself
Not unlike myself. @pixeljetstream Something else I found out, though unsure whether it affects you in any way. R3E doesn't add values to an existing XML file, it completely replaces it. Apparently the whole lot gets loaded into memory, and a brand-new file overwrites the old one after each race. I spent some time replacing all the comments re. track-codes with the actual names so I could do plain-word searches instead of hunting for a collection of digits. Only to find out that after the first race, all the plain-word comments were gone.
Good call, I'll add a magic number to the fractional part of the seconds where it doesn't matter anymore. That way I can mark times. Just need to hope R3E writes them without change. And if it did change them to a greater degree it would be okay to feed back again.
Here is my AI adaption file.Is there any other Information needed?Like Track,AI strenght,Number of Car's or Duration of the Race?
Nope, AI strength and Track are listed in the file. Number of AI and Duration has no bearing on the AI level. And thanks.
This is awesome.. gonna se if I got one big enough... should be since I havn't change or ever deleted it
@Mich Angel I did a backup on my old AIadaption file which was 483kb.Then deleted the file and raced only one race against the AI.Did it because reading this from Cheerfullyinsane. The size of the File is nearly the same, doesn't matter if i did 5 races or only 1.Difference was 1kb
yes, look for posts by Cheerfullyinsane in this thread https://forum.sector3studios.com/index.php?threads/the-new-adaptive-ai.5013 particular this one https://forum.sector3studios.com/index.php?threads/the-new-adaptive-ai.5013/page-4#post-70837
if in some future the AI was supported by dedicated server, and we could run the dedicated server decoupled of actual time, then we could fill this table probably by going through tons of combinations over a few days.
interesting how very different people drive, from the almost 500 entries we got so far (from 8 people), there is only 20 configs that two people raced (search for "/ 2")
