Tell me guys, how do they determine what is gt2 3 4 X .......? They all look compatible with each other and some contain the same cars. I could use Google but I'm sure you will want to answer it Thanks
Voted no, not because I don't want GT4's per se but because I would much rather see a complete GT3 field and there's a finite amount of time and resources available. But hey, not like I'd be upset at a GT4 class.
I guess there might be some time after the new GT3-Cars are done. The introduction of new cars last year was just immense and not normal for "Customer"-Sports. So we will see most of the new cars for the next 4-5 years.
http://jalopnik.com/5949938/understanding-gt-sports-car-racing-a-class-by-class-guide GT1 and GT2 are older series' that have died off. Its all GTE, GTLM, GTD, GT3, GT4 and GS now http://oppositelock.kinja.com/a-guide-through-the-confusing-world-of-gt-classes-1529849729
Thank you very much, so it's just basically what they call that series, not like F1 to F4 which states performance. Thanks again
yes kind of but as you watch GT races you will find that GTE are the quickest then GTLM, then GTD, and GT4/GS would be the slowest out of those. At least thats what it is in WEC, IMSA and Continental Tire Challenge
A other new GT4 Car ... Camaro Chevrolet Camaro GT4 (2017) http://world-challenge.com/latest/series-news/chevrolet-unveils-camaro-gt4-r-racer-2017-competition/
There are actually differences in specifications, mainly due to the IMSA Technical Credential. GTE cars can not compete in GTLM class until they pass the IMSA Technical Credentials, and this will sometimes involve adding a restrictor so that IMSA can use their BOP system efficiently. Therefore GTLM cars are a tad slower than GTE due to BOP and IMSA's Technical Credential system.
You're probably right about the restrictors. The diameters are certainly different in IMSA in comparison of FIA WEC but there is probably the only difference between cars in GTLM and cars in GTE because in facts, GTLM cars are matching the GTE specifications. This is the reason why I said GTLM = GTE
Watching this and seeing glimpses of the M4 GT4, would be a great addition to RRRE if we got a GTR4 class
Any word on the new GT4 Class? I know we are getting the KTM X-Bow. I would like to see the new Camaro and Mustang added as well.
Well very good chance one of the 8 remaining Porsche's will be a GT4 variant and with JF saying the KTM GT4 was delayed solely to wait for playmates, I'd say there is a very good chance you will see a field of GT4 cars in RR .....................SOON™
And here is another GT4 car. I Love this Car Jaguar F-Type GT4 http://www.roadandtrack.com/motorsports/a15063392/jaguar-f-type-gt4/
