I just wanted to say the FFB went from being the worst of all my sims to the best I've ever experienced. I recommend doing a clean install. After that, the FFB is perfect. Better than rF2 - and I never thought I'd say that. Fantastic work by the devs. Raceroom was always my favorite racing sim, but for a long time now I was unable to enjoy it due to the FFB. Now I can enjoy all my content again (for the 1st time in about 18 months). I am so excited to have Raceroom back in my life! And please, leave the FFB alone now
Hello When you say clean install you mean the full game or the SIMBIN folders in My documents that you will have deleted and the game recreated them at first start post update? Thanks
Yes indeed i saw that in the guide But wondering still if old control sets and car setups could interfere with post update feeling of the new FFB as i saw few people who did suggest such thing Might be a placebo though
I had a bugged ffb after first hotpatch. It was just static centering force and some bumps. All cars were understeery. I went for full reinstall. Uninstalled deleted simbin folder and reinstalled. Ffb is now flawless. Probably deleting simbin folder would be enough, but I wanted to move the game to other drive so I made a clean install.
Yes defeinatley congrats to the Devs on this update The ffb on my CSW 2.5 is 99% perfect with the default settings And the new Tripple Screen adjustments are amazing
It's interesting you say this. I was never a massive fan of iracing FFB, possibly because I was so used to the raceroom effects driven FFB. Anyway for science I took out the iR porsche cup and it feels pretty much the same as our version with new ffb. Some slight differences, I think we are doing the gyro forces better than iR but overall you can jump between the two cars with minimal fuss. It has been a few months since I ran iR and I believe they've had some more tyre work done in that time too. I have to say I enjoyed the drive in iR for the first time.
I did a complete reinstall, including deleting my old Simbin folder. I have no idea if this is completely necessary, but it certainly removes a lot of variables. I have 100mps fiber, so the reinstall took maybe 6-7 min and it eliminated the possibility of old FFB settings interfering with the new system. The improvement in the FFB is truly incredible.
