I think it's funny to see somebody desperately clinging to non-arguments, even in the face of actual science or facts disproving him, all based on that persons previous sim-racing experience. Just for a laugh, as he seems to refer mostly to the braking capabilities of racing cars: This road-legal car (no racing tyres or brakes) shows a decelleration coefficient (a) of 12,89 m/s², and that's without even using the engine brake. So if we assume we want to brake that car from 280 kph to 100 kph, vΔ = 180 kph = 50 m/s. If we enter those numbers in the acelleration formula (a=v²/2*s) and solve for s (the distance) we get s = (50 m/s)²/2*12,89 m/s² = 96,97 m So this overweight, non-racing car can decellerate from 280 to 100 in less than 100 metres, which at a Ø-speed of 280+100/2 =190 kph = 52,78 m/s roughly equals 2 seconds. I wonder what non-facts will be used to follow this up. But please Tonbei, go ahead, amuse maths.
Personally, can't believe this thread is still active. Utter poppycock and twaddle speak says I! I respect everyone' right to an opinion, but the days of opinions have long since left this thread. Time to let it die. @Christian Göpfert How many times? Don't feed the troll!!!
I'm having problems getting leaderboard times to post since the super-patch, so others probably are too
Just wanna say, that video is awesome :O I don't think I've ever seen one looking at the speedometer before for that kind of braking. Just awesome
Just wondering, because I am interested in following your ghost from the leaderboards. What is your raceroom name?
Morning Rik I understand your frustration about my straight assessment. It doesn't matter where you go, fanboys will always defend everything typical flock behavior. There is no room for impartiality and reason, only turmoil and emotional screaming. The leaderboard though is a very good idea. At present I am very busy, real life is calling a lot of work and family. Did not play the game for days. I will come back to you when I got more time on my hands.
Wow mate I am impressed! So you showing me a vid which is all based on mathematical facts in real life and you are applying your argument to the Race Room Experience physics? Are you freaking serious mate? Maby you didn't notice, you do that all the time with some real life material and applying it to the present ingame physics. The current physics particularly the braking aspects have zero in common with your wonderful vids! A wise man would at least test the things I am suggesting to see whether my points are valid or not. If you are not capable to brake and shift down in 2-3 secs then you are simply not good enough! I am sorry mate it gets boring and tiresome. I was so kind to deliver everything on the table, how to exploit the new physics, if you are not willing to test it yourself, then so be it. I really have no idea how you think your wonderful vids represent the physics in your Benchmark game.
This one is funny actually... You know that we even had a livestream with S3S devs and Kelvin van der Linde driving RRRE together? Mr. van der Linde could be seen by his webcam, so not just an ingame livestream of somebody who uses the name Kelvin van der Linde, it was actually himself who could be seen live. Is an ADAC GT Masters Champion professional enough? Just to say that their input is not only marketing.
What's it to be then, fella? I sense a little backtracking. Please stop. You're embarrassing yourself.
I think it's time to let this one sink and not put more fuel on a discussion that isn't going anywhere. Someone started a little poll : https://forum.sector3studios.com/index.php?threads/poll-new-physics-gt3.4819/ Click and vote there, and you'll have voiced your opinion without irritating anyone. In any case, let's keep it clean, please.
