Remember when RaceRoom quietly previewed the Audi R18 during a live developers stream? What, can’t remember back to May of last year?

Yes, for the first time in a long time, RaceRoom has released more teaser images of the Audi R18. They have also shuffled their prototype deck into the P1 and P2 classes. Each class can be seen below:

P1: Audi R18 / DMD P20 / Mistral M530
P2: Chevrolet Daytona Prototype / DMD P21 / Mistral M531 / Radical SR9 Judd / Radical SR9 AER



The 2011 Audi R18 was the first year for the very successful R18 design, which still competes to this day. The car features a 3.7L turbo charged V6 producing 532 hp and a single-piece composite monocoque.

No word on release but considering this is the first time we’ve seen it in eight months, I’d expect to see it #soon.

That's excellent news about the classes, just what I'd hoped they'd do.

Bonus points if they can add a fin to the two fictional P1 cars.

 

I think that the upcoming update is going to be big as hell

 

I would guess that it is coming with/short after the next update. Somewhere in the Forum was mentioned that the Prototypes will recieve the new Physics with the next Update and Physics was the last ToDo on the Audi as Anthony mentioned a while back.

I have some hope for an update within the next two weeks.

A bit Offtopic but - Oh yeah, that would be lovely... Imagine a Grid with the Nissan R90, Sauber C9 , Jag XJR9, Mazda787B and for sure the Porsche 962... very difficult on licensing-side especially for the last three, but let me dream a bit..

Been there...a long time ago.

 

Just a quick question, how do these new classes lie in the free content arena in the future? Radicals and presumably the R18 cost money and the rest are free to all, don't really give a monkey's personally as I suck up all content like a Dyson on speed but was just bored, in fact, lost interest in the question already, move along..............

I think that most of what was teased before the "policy change" in summer 2014" should be forget

 

Really hope for mixed classes (SP) with the next update - Nordschleife demands it actually

Why?
They already have the licence, at least for the Ford Falcon and Volvo S60.
