Are you running stuff like MSI Afterburner, Nvidia Xperience etc. in the background? ... Turn it off & try again
Hello, This may be caused by your graphics card not supporting some hardware acceleration techniques used in the menus. Try this: Right Click on the game in the steam library. Click "properties." Click "SET LAUNCH OPTIONS..." Enter -cefNoGPU -cefNoBlacklist in the text field. Make sure you type it exactly like this, including the dashes "-". Click Ok. Start the game. This will disable the hardware acceleration and should allow you to start the game.

Did you verify the games cache files after the last update? (Right-click the game in steam, properties, local files)
Can you check this folder C:\Users\abc\Documents\My Games\SimBin\Crash Dumps please and see if the game creates a crash dump file when the error happens? If so, please attach one of those here.
Hi holden, thanks for the logs. I'll ask a developer to have a look at those. In the meantime, could you provide some more information? Which mainboard do you use? Do you have a sound card installed (if so which)? How do you have your audio set up (i.e. do you use the HDMI audio output or just the onboard or a sound card)? Did you recently update your gpu and (in case you have one) sound card drivers?

That seems to be correct! From the dump files it seems to be software called Nahimic that causes these issues, so it is sound stuff that's borking everything. They recently updated to version 2.3.12 and we're thinking this might be the issue. If you don't have that version you can try to update and see if it works. If you already have the latest version try and older one or just simply disable Nahimic completely. Hope this helps!
