You know what I'd really like?

A 3km x 3km square of tarmac that I can just take a car out on and thrash it until I really have a feel for it - braking distances, handling, cornering, the lot!

Not for racing or MP - just to learn the cars separate from learning the tracks.

Making it should be relatively simple for the developers - it just needs to be big and flat, medium grip, with some generic scenery round the edges - no AI lines to program etc.

    What d'yall think?

Doesn't iRacing have something a bit like this? Am not adverse to the idea.

Have thought about something like that maybe not 3km x 3km square but a test area of some kind.

This. Even if it was relatively small some sort of test track would definitely be neat. Not sure how it would really fit into being something sold so it likely would be a free release which unfortunately puts it back into the 'would be nice but very unlikely' realm of features/content.
