I don't know if it's some settings in/out of the game I've screwed up but yesterday I noticed that the image flickers slightly. It only occurs in the game, and not always either, almost as if the videocard gets overheated after a while or something. The only major thing I've done lately was that I capped the global settings in the NVIDIA control panel at 72 fps (on a 144 hz monitor) but that's not causing this, is it? Anyone have any idea? Thanks.
I use game unrestricted, NVidia panel capped at 142 with G-Sync enabled. Good results with 144Hz moni.
It’s possible the FPS cap is causing the issue, especially since you're capping at 72 FPS on a 144 Hz monitor. Try either disabling the cap or setting it closer to your monitor’s refresh rate (e.g., 144 FPS). Also, check for GPU overheating by monitoring temperatures during gameplay.
Well as I said the issue is solved somehow, but thanks anyway guys. The reason I’m capping at 72 is because I want crisp visuals at a steady framerate, and my 3060 card can’t handle that at 144 fps, and as 72 is half of the monitor’s refresh rate I see the same frame twice (even number) and I’m used to console gaming anyway so 72 fps is plenty for me.
