So this is the rule: At least one wheel must be on or above the racing surface at all times. The racing surface is defined as the tarmac areas between the painted white lines, the white lines themselves, rumble strips and curbs. And these are the places where it doesn't apply: - Most, turn 1 (the lap is invalidated somewhere right after the curb, not directly on it): - Suzuka, turn 16 (the chicane): - Sepang, turn 2 (no, I didn't hit the pole, I checked that): - Sepang again, turn 14 (the penultimate corner, leading to the back straight):
Yes, those 2 turns at Sepang are still stricter on limits than they were before the big Xmas update that broke the track limit corridors. The first chicane at Oschersleben A course is another super strict one.
@Kitsune Magyar Is that for your department? Sorry if I got it wrong. ------- Suzuka's last chicane has track limit issues in both turns. A video above is the first turn, this one is second: Hockenheim's turn 2:
Track Limit issue found on "Bilster Berg Chicane", in end of Corner "Mausefalle" i become a "Contact" Report driving middle of the Track with KTM XBow RR. No chance to set a time for the Leaderboard Challenge. Known issue?
Was this one ever solved? https://forum.sector3studios.com/index.php?threads/dubai-track-limits-issue.16561/ I had the same thing happen recently.
I do not know if it goes here but in the RaceRoom Raceway circuit when I enter boxer it gives me an incident as if I left the track to take that ticket, do you know anything about this?
- Most, turn 2. Yes, my line was horrible but I didn't leave what's supposed to be track limits. - Nuerburgring GP, turn 1. This one was on Fast chicane layout, if it makes any difference. I obviously hit the pole, but since it's only visual I don't know if it matters or not. - Nuerburgring GP, Mercedes Arena. Also Fast chicane. This line is valid (!), but it shouldn't be, according to the rules. Now, Raceroom Raceway, Bridge layout in particular. I see a lot of inconsistency with the rules. Also this track is probably an exception because it has two types of kerbs - red ones and blue ones, but only blue ones seem to be considered inside track limits while red ones are beyond them. Even then there's a lot of places where blue ones invalidate your lap too. - First chicane: - The turn before the tunnel, on the apex of this turn: - The turn before the tunnel again, now it's exit. My car is pretty on the edge, though, so not sure if it's wrong. - Last turn.
This week doesn't have this circuit so I launched a single player practice (on the Bridge layout) and didn't find an issue. Even with manual pit control all laps were valid. Was it a different layout, maybe?
That's a Grand Prix layout and I can confirm the issue. P.S. Funny how exactly this layout is on this week's Ranked servers.
