we are getting dedi servers so you can have whatever you want. + gtrx is going and the cars will be moved (or that's the plan I've heard).
Yeah, but it could be months before we get dedicated servers. In the mean time, I would like to see Procars @ Hockenheim and G5 @ NorIsring.
i've read the next update will be soon. but there's no indication that dedi servers will be included. just a new cadi, GTR2 updated physics, and custom championships. or am i missing something?
I seriously hope this won't happen. Sorry @GearGrinder for this [OT] but I think THIS would be the time for S3S to push hard and add those important features we're missing (flags, rules, dedi first so leagues and cups can be hosted properly; then they could add new content at a later stage) so this GREAT sim can finally get the right attention and recognition it deserves cause after seeing stats on steam charts I am a bit concerned... [/OT]
From the perspective of numbers on MP it seems to have tailed off significant in the last two to three weeks. The numbers are already very low, you would hope it would keep building. Hopefully we get an update soon.
That's why I thought this thread might be helpful. If mp participation has dropped, one reason could be that "same old races" feeling I've been feeling lately. Aquila @ Mid Ohio Short
I do think for games which are not completed or early access, players will tend to leave( temporarily or sometimes permanent) if progress isn't made regularly. If memory servers, the FEB patch was mostly just a massive fix of the DEC patch, so we have not had truly a lot of progress when compared to the 4 months before...which was incredible....obviously we users are never happy, but I don't think the numbers lie. The harsh reality of a small team.
Prototypes @ Sonoma WTCC This is my fav SP race now. I set it full grid, 100 AI, tyre on, damage on, 30 min and start last on the grid. Passing skills workout.
My choice: WTCC @ Brands Hatch, for that BTCC kind of vibe. I agree with @::SKRO:: - dedicated servers should be an absolute priority. Multiplayer alpha is bouncing along the bottom right now. It needs something to kickstart multiplayer interest and get clubs and leagues involved. Also I think it's fair to say there isn't enough variation in the car/track choices for public races so things can get a little repetitive.
I'd like AI in dedicated server races, like in Race 07. It makes it more fun playing with small parties.
Hey man, I am sorry, I misunderstood the purpose of this thread. I thought it is about what features do we want from dedicated server. Didn't mean to hijack this thread
