Omg... Hopefully, the next nascar game will be better and from another company Not quite sure, what will happen to the planned btcc game, as it is still announced by motorsport games, right?
Same with Indycar game, so reading between the lines it seems they dont have cash or know how to make their own games so they are going to release the DLC for Rf2 instead as a stopgap and to generate revenue. Rf2 player numbers have improved but something is clearly off with this company and who is going to want to invest in them now?
The Share price for Motorsport Games is now $0.46 USD down from a starting point of $31.00 USD so I doubt they’ll be much coming in the future unless a cash injection happens. Also: https://jalopnik.com/nascar-21-dev-motorsport-games-bad-year-is-getting-wors-1849069881
I'm sorry but i hope that thing goes down like the Titanic so the LeMans licence deal is cancelled and other games/sims that already have the track licenced for many years can do their own official 24h LeMans events and streams again. Imo it was just a big dick move from Motorsport games to not allow this since they made that deal. Sharing is caring!
The new 2022 season patch is coming out in October. The stock value had recovered to almost a dollar but has tanked on this announcement. I am guessing because it´s free for existing game owners so won´t generate revenue.
Ehh. Since iRacing now has AI for the next gen cars, I probably won't ever go back to Ignition. They're missing a few tracks but most all of the schedule is on there now.
I gave it another try two or three weeks ago... But it was once again a waste of time... This game is just trash... Unfortunately... NASCAR Heat 5 is way better
Motorsport Games remain in financial trouble: https://finance.yahoo.com/news/motorsport-games-announces-transformative-2022-130000521.html The reverse stock split is little more than a way for MSG to boost share prices in the short term to avoid being de-listed from the USA stock exchange. I'm surprised the enterprise hasn't been shut down. Hopefully rF2 survives if MSG fails but I doubt it.
easy thing for iRacing, they already had the cars and tracks,, and they're working already on an AI would love to see a nascar racing 2003 remake
The way things are going with racing game code use, I can see Assetto Corso 2 using BBC Revs physics engine!
There is some correct historic facts here about how FIRST (later named iRacing) aquired the NR2003 code and did build the iRacing sim on that. There was even a trial/a court case where the main dev of the NR2003 code Dave Kaemmer admitted that about 60% of the iRacing code was still NR2003 code when iRacing had existed for some years. Check this out: https://steamcommunity.com/app/508450/discussions/0/350541595120863913/ "it is amazing that the only PC game apart from iRacing with a proper NASCAR experience is NR2003. And why is that? Same developer. Dave Kaemmer. Papyrus Design Group, Inc. was a computer game developer founded in 1987 by David Kaemmer and CEO Omar Khudari. () At the end of the first quarter of 2004, NR2003 was pulled from the shelves due to license expiration. This is when FIRST (later to become iRacing) started its acquisition of the NR2003 code from Vivendi Universal. () On May 28, 2004 Vivendi and Papyrus sold copyrights to FIRST.net, LLC and became the registered owner of the copyrights for NASCAR Racing 2003 Season".
