after switching to an all new PC, Win11. Did a fresh install and games refuses to launch after a short loading prompt without any message. Used to play in vr on replaced Win10 device so I tested with every launch option and it shows same issue. Same goes for some other games like rf2 and Assetto Corsa whereas ACC runs fine. But the Assetto Corsa starting launcher gives the error report: 'No video modes avialable'. System runs with W11 pro/Ryzen7 7800x3d/32gb/rx7900xtx - every c++ redist. is fresh n recent Everything is recognized by system BUT it also shows an integrated 'APU2: AMD Radeon Graphics VRAM2: 512mb'
Thx for reply. It's native 2560x1440 desktop and with former pc it was like 1920x1080 to display ingame hud correct. Win11 is set to 'ultimate performance'.
Any game.log files being created in the user documents directory? (those can be found in Documents\My Games\SimBin\RaceRoom Racing Experience\UserData
Yeah, log files say the same; failed to enumerate available display adapter resolutions. Try re-installing your graphics drivers. To be sure, is the VR connected while testing or is just purely on the normal monitor?
It's on both flatscreen and vr. And got it working today even after restart. Only thing I did is deactivate the MSI Center in background afaIr. But now I can't start driving in VR as the garage menu screen remains black. The graphic setting is like before: Windowed-1920x1080/165hz-1080p, whereas flatscreen is working fine.
Yes, it's centered. The game starts fine in both scenarios flat n vr. But when starting into any session single- or multiplayer the VR session only shows the blank menu screen where there should be the DRIVE, SETUP,...EXIT button. And I have to Alt/Tab to close the game. edit: can I reset my whole settings to start new like in other games while deleting 'user folder'?
Done this and nothing, no change at all. Menu screen when loading in any session remains black n blank. To sum it up it's an all new PC with all new components, new Steam- and R3E installation and still not running properly. What else can I try?
Yes, vr user since RiftCV here. As I said the game works fine up to the point I load and join into any session successfully the menu screen where to START/GARAGE..EXIT stays black n blank.
Still no luck. Anyone else out there with an AMD cpu/gpu Win11 combination with some ideas of what could be the problem? As i did a complete PC change with an all fresh Sream and R3E install the uninstall/reinstall process won't make a difference I guess?
Sorry, didn't get your post. Everything is working now and don't really know why. Only thing was the running MSI app for the motherboard was deactivated. Afterwards everything was fine. Except R3E had to be reinstalled to work again. One issue though, my G29 is running fine and matches all the in car rotaions but when R3E is finished the rotation remains somewhat 400-450° instead of 900°. Ingame it's set to 900°/match the car rotaion.
Did you disable the driver arms? You have to do that or else you're limited to 360° of steering wheel rotation visually.
No, I'm in vr with wheel and hands visible. But still this very issue remains. Ingame everything works just fine and it matches all vehicles with their different rotations correct. Only after ending R3E my G29 keeps the rotation of the last driven car. Also I tried setting up the G29 with the Custom Wheel profile won't change that. Inside R3E are 3 choices: Custom, Match and Fixed rotation range and none except 'Match' adapts ingame car related rotation correctly. Underneath my 'Match' profile it shows the 900° angle greyed out. Using the actual G Hub software which works perfect in all racing sim games out there, even better than the old lgs510x64 driver. Pretty sure, there must be a little thing I've missed inside R3E setup.
Are you sure it's actually working correctly ingame? That shouldn't be possible the way you describe it. You have to disable the driver arms for the visual rotation > 360° to work correctly.
