    Good afternoon Everyone,

Sorry to be a bother, however I have been trying to play RRE for the last three days and I keep getting the following error:

    Portal Services unavailable,

If you wish to contact support, click here.

However when I click the button nothing happens. Am I missing something?

I have functioning internet and all my other steam games are working.

    Thank you for your help

comp is running dual GTX970TI's, Intel I7-4790K CPU @ 4.00GHZ, 16GB ram, triple screens, AZUS motherboard, Liquid cooling and heaps of other awesome stuff that I cant remember.

Only started having this issue after the latest windows ten update, should never have gone to windows 10, but horizon was calling....

Might I ask where exactly are you experiencing this message? Are you trying to access your portal user page via the internet in a browser such as Google Chrome, Mozilla Fire fox, etc. Or are you getting this message while in game and trying to access your portal user page?

Do you also get that message trying to access the in game store?

Or are you getting this message immediately upon starting the game?

Might help narrow down where the issue is. I tried going to my portal user page via a web browser and in game and didnt have an issue, so it might not be a universal issue.

    Cheers

Can you please verify your local game files?
    - Right click on R3E in your Steam Library and select Properties.
    - Select Local Game Files.
    - Select "Verify Integrity of Game Cache".

after that ; make sure your firewall isnt blocking it /also the antivirus etc etc

Have already verified the game cache and checked that my antivirus and firewall are not blocking and all is clear, however the game will not launch without going to the error page

Hmm, can you try navigating via a web browser to game.raceroom.com ? This is the website that the game uses. At the top of that page, if you havent been there before will be a login. Click on that. It will ask you to log in via Steam. The game already uses the Steam login process, so you just need to confirm that you will allow the website to use the Steam login. Once done, it should redirect you to your RaceRoom user page, which is the same as in game.

Can you view your user page in the web browser?

I imagine if you can, you are having some issue with the game itself. If you cant see your portal user page via a web browser, you are having some other issue.

I have tried all of the above and I can access the website, however the game will not launch from it or from steam.

Last Friday it was operating perfectly and then I moved from windows 7 to 10 and viola issues

It looks like you know what do now. I switched back to windows 8.1 after experiencing problems with win 10. For me, it's just not worth the hassle. I'll try it again in 6-12 months when some of the BS has been dealt with.

Cant move back as I am in love with Horizon 3. So much awesome.

RRE is epic and I love the hill climbs in the classics, however I will just have to be paitent.

No better hill climbs available in any modern sim title.

    Hello there,

An additional thing you can try is to clear out the BrowserData folder that you can find here: Documents\My Games\SimBin\RaceRoom Racing Experience\BrowserData\

That solves the 503 issue for some players.

Have you've done a clean install of Win10 or just an upgrade from 7 to 10?

Maybe the tip from Hannes will already work but if vou've just done an upgrade a new installation could help too.

    Voila This has fixed it!

Thank you very much everyone for your help, only issue now is that the screen is flashing rapidly during gameplay and it is causing very minor glitching.

I will adjust my graphics settings and get back to you
