I was reading that windows 11 will need dx 12 or later to work. Will this impact in anyway raceroom working as i believe it uses dx11 https://www.microsoft.com/en-gb/windows/windows-11-specifications Im assuming the game will be fine Thank you
I'm on windows 11 dev build and everything works. Even if windows 11 requires dx12 to work it doesn't mean they would drop backwards compatibility. That would be a suicide.
Windows is famous for its backwards compability. You should be able to open and edit all data and programs since the earliest stages of Windows. Greetings
I'm in Windows 11 dev channel and Raceroom works fine... in fact I'm not having any issues with any other games.
Windows 11 needs a DirectX12 compatible Graphics-Card. Does not mean it cant run Games lower then Dx12
Yes windows 11 does have some strict requirements, but I have it installed and it’s running Raceroom and all of the other sims just fine, it seems completely backwards compatible to me. Sadly the Auto HDR feature doesn’t work on Raceroom because it’s DX9, looks good on AMS and AC though if you run those.
Direct X version is not an issue but if you have a pre 8th gen Intel Core chip or Ryzen 3000 then the final release version of W11 is not currently compatible with those processors.
