EVENT INTRODUCTION The new F1 season is all but upon us, so what better way to feed our frenzy than introducing our 2nd Special Event of the year! As motorsport fans around the world eagerly await lights out in Melbourne, we remove the tyre warmers and roll our own pinnacle car out of the garage to steal the spotlight in the RaceRoom GP! The 3 litre V10 FR X-17, with 950hp, will be yours to tame as drivers bid to set a time on the Leaderboard that is good enough to qualify for the live-streamed main event on Sunday 29th March. Supporting will be a GT3 Cup event for those whom FR X may be too hard to handle. The 4 litre flat 6, 485hp Porsche 911 is based on the 7th gen of this sports car icon and will well complement the Formula class. Shanghai, whose hosting of the 2020 F1 GP has been postponed as a result of the Coronavirus outbreak, will safely stage this virtual event! In an effort to make our Special Events more accessible to players outside Europe, there will also be a Leaderboard competition & main event to better accommodate the Asia timezone. Good morning, I was wondering if the server of the race will be the same server as that of the practice that there are these days to train, since in this all the cars appear to us shielding and without stability. Greetings Thank you
Flags - visual only: does that mean you can overtake under yellow? And if yes, what is the reasoning behind it?
It will be a different server. Visual flags mean all flags will be triggered & shown but there will be no penalties applied, aside from the black flag. The flags are just advisory but we would advise drivers to heed their warnings, but ultimately is your choice.
I just asked because in Single Player on Shanghai GP (level 100 with Porsche GT3 Cup), there are a lot of spins in both snail turns (the one after the start and the one before the long straight), resulting in yellows and slowdowns. I hope that these spins will not happen in multiplayer, but what is the exact reason for visual flags only? Is the software not elaborate enough? In single-player it is working just fine, with a little message appearing telling you to give back places in case of overtaking under yellow.
I would say the full flag rules logic in SP is very good. In MP, its the same logic so it is still ok, but there are instances where it is not 100% accurate which can lead to false penalties being given and unnecessary criticisms & arguments after the event, which is not what we want. We still like to have them visual though, so drivers know when a fast car is approaching (blue flag), they are approaching an incident (yellow) or there is a slow moving car ahead (white). It's a heads up, be prepared

Simon I missed submitting a confirmation form by the Friday deadline. Is it still possible to confirm my entry and participate? I did set a top-20 time on the leaderboard... thanks in advance!
