Tim Heinemann and his racing team "Toyota Gazoo Racing Germany powered by Ring Racing" are heading to the RedBull Ring in Spielberg, Austria, this weekend. As the championship leader with a lead of 60 points, the 24-year-old Fichtenberger travels to the penultimate race weekend of the season. From September 23rd to 25th, the RaceRoom-SimRacing-Star has the first arithmetical opportunity to be crowned champion of the DTM Trophy 2022.

My team and I continue to work hard on ourselves and our performance, because especially on this top-speed track we have to compensate our top-speed deficit in the few corners available, which will be difficult. Of course, as always, I am happy to bring my RaceRoom simulator with me to the racetrack for those who were interested to test it on-site in the paddock.”

The big season finale of the 2023 DTM Trophy is here. From 7th to 9th October Tim Heinemann and his racing team Toyota Gazoo Racing Germany powered by Ring Racing heading to the Hockenheimring. With a lead of 50 points, with a maximum of 58 points still to be achieved, the RaceRoom-SimRacing-Star starts the weekend as the top favorite and has the chance to win his second title in the DTM Trophy.

Tim Heinemann is DTM Trophy Champion 2022!
Already in Saturday's race he secured the championship with 6th place before winning the final race on Sunday and ending his fantastic season in style. Worthy of a 2-time champion.

After Heinemann was able to qualify for Sunday's race on 4th place on the grid, he caught a rocket start and took the lead within half a lap. During the following two safety car phases, the RaceRoom-SimRacing-Star stayed cool and controlled the race. With a lead of almost 3 seconds, he drove towards a start-finish victory in the final race and once again put his stamp on the 2022 DTM Trophy season with this success.
For Heinemann, it is already the second title in the junior racing series of the DTM after 2020 and another important milestone on the way to his big goal of starting in the DTM.

"It's finally done! We fought hard for this title and it makes me overjoyed to have clinched my second title in the DTM Trophy. My Team Ring Racing did a fabulous job all year round, not only on but also off the track, provided me with a Toyota Supra that was easy to drive and gave me the best possible support in all respects. That's why I'm also happy for the team around team boss Uwe Kleen, because we were still able to take the runner-up team title in the last race, even though Ring Racing only started with one car. I hope that with my second title in three seasons I have recommended myself for the DTM and will now work on achieving my goal of DTM over the winter.”

Tim Heinemann moves up to the DTM in 2023!

In 2022 Heinemann was crowned champion of the DTM Trophy for the second time, now the long-awaited promotion to the DTM will take place. The new race car of the 25-year-old from Fichtenberg will be the latest generation Porsche 911 GT3 R, 992 series, with 565 hp. The car will be entered by Toksport WRT from Quiddelbach, not far from the Nürburgring.

For Heinemann, who has already gained experience in the ADAC GT Masters, on the Nürburgring-Nordschleife and in the GTC Race GT3, among others, this will be the first year in Germany's best-known racing series.

About Tim Heinemann: The role model for many SimRacers
Tim has been driving virtual races on RaceRoom Simulator since 2010. In 2018, he made the leap from the simulator to the real race car and has since been considered a shining example of the dream of tens of thousands of SimRacers: "From Virtual to Real". In the 2020 DTM Trophy, he became a dominant champion with 7 wins from 12 races, before becoming GT3 champion in the 2021 GTC Race. In the 2022 DTM Trophy, he was crowned two-time DTM Trophy champion and proved his skills at the Nürburgring 24-hour race.
