Thanks. I've watched SRG's review of the shifter a whole bunch of times. I usually watch his videos when I am cleaning dishes or some other task which has me stationary for a period of time. It's not quite what I was looking for, but you've helped me with your picture. I looked at Fanatec's site and read that the shifter can be bottom mounted to the top of the CSS Table clap. Those holes should directly line up with the GT Omega's shifter plate. It's a pricy adapter, but it should do the trick. If not then I have ways of getting it to work. About the metal QR1. Maybe it's a regional difference? Here in the US, all CSL wheels (the Mclaren, P1 wheels and, CSL hub) will have the plastic quick release included, unless; the metal quick release is ordered with the steering wheel. And there is a mod that fixes the paddles on the CSL Universal Hub. But I'm not sure how practical it is to get, with the current state of shipping... At least for me in the US. I think replacing the shifter is a.) not making sense from a financial point of view, and b.) it does not solve the principle problem of the extension sliders beeing too instabile and the whole dahsboard being mushy when extended - and you seem to need to extend it for anythign but the smallest wheel. The CSL hub plus new shifters plus R300 wheel would cost 400 coins now (150+150+100). I filed an order for the Universal HUB (which is more stable) plus the R300 in a bundle for 380 coins. I think the CSL Elite wheelbase can still handle it, since it is a moderate increase in weight only. Maybe I would need to tune down FFB a bit, I will see in January (hopefully ). So that video only is useful for those who alreeady own the CSL hub and wondered, with the money on it already spend, whether they can improve it afterwards. To plan for that already before ordering I would not recommend. On the Fanatec clamp, I think you can mount the shifter not just on the top of it, but also moun t the clamps to the sides iof the shifter. Its very flexible. I think everybody can get from it the solution he is looking for.
Awesome look. This is how I want my new setup to be once I finally get the vesa mount for my Samsung ultrawide. Driving on one side and flight sim on the other
I finally think I'm done (but don't hold it against me if I'm not). New PC. i9, 3090, 64GB Ram 20TB of Hard Drive. Ultrawide for Sim Racing and Widescreen for flight sims. TrackIR for both. My wife is a seamstress and made me some Checkered flag curtains
No but I think I need them haha. One more Small upgrade. Went from the 2560x1080 monitor for flight sims to a 4k TV.
FORD fan from what I can tell, very nice nice UW as well, having triple and 1440p 34in UW myself and for some reasons prefer the latter. wish I could have gone you monitor size though
are you using the proper Track IR or 3rd party software with a Web camera? I am a bit reluctant to invest the $200 they ask for it over here in Japan
