Suggestion for those few of us driving electric cars

Well, I did not do any pitstop during the 20 lap race.
The AI did 3 pistops.
If anyone ever has watched Formula e, the races are longer than the full charge of the cars, so they have to drive fast and manage power consumption. The AI does not take length of race or regeneration into account.
I drive at engine map 1 and 2 for most of the race.

 

At the moment i suggest running with fuel use off , if you want to force pitstops , i dsuggest using tyre wear

I will feed the info to the devs

I have been mostly driving the VW ID.R. All results posted in this thread was done with the VW.
The behavior is the same with the Cupra E-Racer. AI does not understand power conservation at all.
Not sure how to implement this. There may be a feature to allow pitstop without re-charge, to force the AI to save energy. (Just a suggestion.)

 

Just finished 20min race with Mach E at Road America.
AI pitted after lap 2, 4, 6, 7 (might be related to race strategy) and 9. I had to pit once, at the end of lap 5.
Adaptive AI with race rules same as OPs' (except for quali/race length).
Still learning the track, so AI crushed me in qualifying.
