English [ US but.. not that much.. :) ] ESR 1st Champ Starting Soon!

Sorry to duplicate this post as it's already present in ESR thread but it's kind of hidden between the other posts and might be complicated to spot it.

Hiya vacationing and non-vacationing folks!
September draws near and I'd like to finally organize our very first championship on ESR.
Unfortunately we can't count yet on full flags and rules and fuel management and.... a bunch of other things but nothing can stop us from having fun with what we have!

So, for starters I'd say:
- not very long calendar... 6/7 events (2 races format)
- 30 min races
- pick a car to stick with for the entire champ
- team assignment (randomly done)
- full mechanical damage
- tyre wear 3x

We need to decide which class (or multiclass) to run and tracks to be included so please guys... vote here! And vote here to express your time preference on Saturdays

I'd be very much up for this! Just curious to what day, time zone, and time the races are held?

Our usual Racing Club events took place around 10PM (EST) on Fridays & Saturday which... if you are in the EU... is pretty early in the morning! ;-)
We've hardcore racers in our ranks such as @mrSweSin @heppsan @Fairman @Öberg and other EU players that are basically sleep deprived and are able to attend the majority of times...
It's not easy to please everyone and sometimes it's really hard to find the perfect place, but a fuller grid is better than a grid of 5 so we'll try to make some adjustments to get as many people as we can!
Once we've set with our classes/tracks preference we'll communicate when and where

Tbh, I would be really glad if you would set the start time (for the actual race) around 9 :00 pm EST (8:00 pm start of practice and qualy after). Oktober we (EU) change back from CEST to CET - means it would be around 2:00 am here and there's always a chance of sudden changes in my schedule... Anything later would be too hard on me on a regular basis. The earlier the better

 

that's pushing for a Saturday (Sunday here) but would be fine for a Friday (Saturday here). with sunday morning sports/ church and what not I't be even worse for the aussies.

 

I love sunday afternoon (or early evening) races - you know you definitely feel that most of the worlds employees are not burdened by daily routines (was a cab driver for years and loved sundays most) - problem is that there are a lot other activities demanded and stuffed into that one day of freedom...

 

If you could make it 9pm EST that would be fine/basically perfect for me, but I think 10pm would be too late unfortunately

If you could push it back an hour that would be awesome, but if that doesn't work for you guys then that's fine, maybe I could make the odd race or two!

 

We'll figure this out I promise! ;-)

It will be on a Saturday and or Sunday for sure. Most likely a little earlier than our usual week-end events, We will try to accommodate Eu and N.A as much as we can.

We will do what you guys request. If we want to do one race a week on Saturday then so be it

 

Sundays are way too difficult... and from our previous experience not yielding a ton of users.
Better days have always been Fridays and Sats so we'll see what to do.

 

I vote Friday or Saturday aswell, works better for me personally than Sunday.

Also like the idea of running the event abit earlier, 10pm EDT / 4am CEST is unnececarily late imo, specially for us EU drivers.
I have no specific time suggestion but an hour or two earlier would be appreciated, it would boost attendance atleast from the EU side im sure.
Perhaps some of the americans would like to start earlier than 10pm too.

Im not on any of thoes timezones new zealand is beleive it or not 2-5 hours off aus.
but we own a good chunk of antartica so ill put that down

also note thier is no reason whatsoever to distinguish north and south america
