Agreed. I would also welcome the addition of dirt and bugs on the windscreen and working wipers as seen in RACE 07.
Unfortunately, there are a lot of details (dirt effects, switchable lights and wipers, tire pressure, caster, flags, pace car, weather, … ) which are still missing before RR it’s a real racing sim. Until now it’s just a beta racing sim in my opinion.
Don't think so. Everything that has been said so far sounds like each one will come whenever they are ready for release, not all of them in one go. But the whispers in the dark I can hear from inside my testers cell also sound like the first few aren't that far away anymore. (Or maybe I'm just imagining voices by now )
since I started with raceroom in April last year I thought there might be a rhythm of how they release content. But the "Experiences" does not exist anymore, so everything can/will be different. Anyway, it is always good to listen to voices, even if they are inside ones head I will keep my fingers crossed
It was my understanding that new and old cars will be classed together and they will be BOP'd. They might feel slightly different, but being BOP'd means all the cars will be competitive with each other - rather than the new cars being faster.
The new real life GT3-cars are BOP'd too. So they aren't necessarily faster than the cars from the years before. For example - Fastest Qualifying-Times from GT-Masters in Hockenheim: 2016 = 1:39.613 Porsche 991 GT3 R 2015 = 1:38.916 Lambda Ford GT 2014 = 1:39.475 Corvette Z06.R 2013 = 1:39.744 Lambda Ford GT 2012 = 1:39.650 Porsche 997 GT3 R As you can see, the last 5 years were pretty close.
Hmmmmm.... Ford GT is .5s faster than any other GT3 car huh? EZ-mode engaged. Ford GT OP, pls nerf. This is a pretty nice little list of times, and does pretty good to show that even older GT3 cars can compete with current gen cars. Even occasionally setting times that seem a bit faster than they should.
You have to take the track and small changes there may have been over time into account, also horses for courses, some cars run better at certain tracks compared to others, but kinda quashes the Ford is too fast ingame argument from last year.
Believe me, i know this better than 99% of people out there... as Im one of the people that did a ton of testing on a whole host of tracks when this was brought up... checking the BoP. Being the fastest guy out there, I am not. But being a consistent driver and putting up similar lap times over the course of ~20+ laps in each car is something i can do. That said, the above comment was just poking fun at that discussion last year Although... someone should get into contact with ADAC GT Masters... they clearly have some physics flaws on their hands
Heck if I'm not misremembering because it's so damned late the AMG came about not because the SLS was underperforming, but to keep costs down in endurance races with a ye old reliable ( aka NA V8 ).
update of the AMG GT3 http://www.bathurst12hour.com.au/news/mercedes-amg-gt-r-meets-mount-panorama/ AMG GT3 R le'ts skip the old GT3 and lets wait fort the GT3 R instead
That's actually a road car - the organisers of the Bathurst 12 Hour have added a session for manufacturers to give their road-going supercars a chance to set a lap time on Mount Panorama.
