Be happy! Better like this than setting yourself under high pressure to just release content. Like many AAA Studios did in the past...
I suppose Popo28 is unhappy to find that its favorite racing sim can't be played cause servers are in a non-announced maintenance. I feel the same, but the issue is more about network dependent technology than update. I wish R3E will be playable offline in the future, I don't find acceptable a game you bought can't be played off-line for a network dependent reason. It's acceptable for a limited time, not for ever, IMO.

So I was wrong when saying "non-announced", but I was talking about News & announcements forum. I suppose I'm not the only one not using tweeter but refereeing to this forum for infos.
I'm not into any of the social media, so an announcement on the forum would have been great. I too tried a few times to spend some time in R3E today, just to see the server was down. +1 for the possibility to race offline !
Twitter is integrated in the main page of sector3 It's just one click more if you save that page to your browser instead of the forum page.
On this moment still down. Did some laps in FR3.5 2014 in rF2 and Metalmoro, Formula Truck and F1 Retro in AMS. You have to do something when R3E is down for updates
Just a little bit more patience. We are dealing with some technical difficulties and are working hard to resolve them.
Honestly, Popo28 is right. We have a section called "News and Announcements", so plz use it and dont rely on social media pages. Also, this "brief" maintenance already last six hours, and now only the readers of this post got the information, there are some technical problems. Well, this stuff happens, but I personally dont like being in the dark whats going on.
Like many things in life, Twitter/Facebook are as good or bad as you choose them to be. Create a Twitter account, follow all the sim racing devs, sim racing forums, sim racing personalities, and suddenly you have an app that feeds you all kinds of great sim racing news every day but is devoid of the usual social media nonsense that so many people dislike. What's not to like? My Twitter only contains sim racing, motorsports, and general car stuff, and I love it and am never in the dark as to what's going on.
